The Thinking Meme

THE THINKING MEME

Oooh.. This really is long overdue. Terra Shield tag me ages ago and I totally forgotten about the whole thing! =( But now I'm replying this! So no worries!

Hmm.. this is a thinking meme. Sounds interesting right?

All I have to do is named 5 bloggers who I think writes a good thinking blog! I feel totally honored that Terra Shield named my blog! Hehe.. Thanks ya gal!

So here I go..

"If you choose to carry this meme forward, remember to tag only those bloggers who stimulate your cortex....or something like that. Please make sure you pass the rules to the blogs you are tagging.

The participation rules are simple:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think
2.Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme The Thinking Blogger Award

Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award'

You guys have won this Award!!! COngratulations!!! =)

The five blogs that I've linked to are:

1. Krystyna of Evolving Your Spirit, Mind and Body.

Krystyna is a lovely, kind, friendly blogger who blogs about anything concerning your body and soul. From yoga to taichi, to vegetable diet, everything you want to know on how to best protect your body and soul.

2. Menchie of Timeouts

Menchie is a wonderful mother of 2 beautiful kids. Her blog is mostly on her family. I always feel all warm and fuzzy inside after reading her post. It shows that even in this chaotic world of ours there still exist beautiful all rounded family!

3. Miss Positive of What Goes Around Comes Around

Miss Positive is a girl who just finished her STPM and soon to embark on a whole new life in a local university. Her posts are definitely thought provoking ones as she sometimes writes about issues that people rarely think about. Drop by her blog and see for yourself!

4. Josette of Books Love Me

Oooh.. This is a blogger that totally adores books!!! I tell you. For books lovers like me, it was a total delight to stumble upon her blog one day. After that, I was hooked! Josette not only blogs about books, she also blogs on where to get the best deals on books, and how our Malaysian major bookstores kinda defer from each other. And seriously, to be able to find a Malaysian that blogs about books is as hard as finding a needle in a haystack!

Know why? Coz the average Malaysian only reads 2 books a YEAR!!!

So books lovers, this is the blog for you!

5. Zewt of As Zewt As It Gets

Well.. I don't have to describe much about this as it is evident that our Zewt is labeled as the next big thing! =) If you want to exercise your mind, head over to Zewt's blog and you will definitely not be disappointed! Zewt's blog is not your average, what did I do today blog, on the contrary, it is filled with issues that people generally think about but don't really discuss it stuff! It can even be used as a topic of discussion when you're out with your friends!!! I'm serious! He's that good! And I'm not the only one that thinks that, he already has the Thinking Blogger Award in his blog!

Uh-Oh.. So much for not describing much!

Anyway, here are the 5 blogs that I have listed! Go have fun blog hopping!

P/S: Please do remind me if I have forgotten to reply your tag! Sincere apologies!

Princess Shin's Peace Globe!!!

Oooh.. I know I'm supposed to put this on June 6th but I totally forgot! Better late than never right? =)

Thanks to Mimi for starting this peace globe movement! For those in the dark, this peace globe movement started out last year where Mimi chose a day for everyone on the blogosphere to post their own peace globe. I did it too!!! =)

It is really amazing! Everybody choosing a day to actually blog about peace. And we have over hundreds of bloggers from all over the world doing the same thing!!!

Head over to Mimi's blog and take a look at the different peace globes out there. Each has a story to tell! One tells about an experience of seeing the plane crash with his own eyes during the September 11 incident! That definitely strike a chord in my heart!

Peace is definitely not an easy thing to achieve. What with politics, power struggle and the arrogance of the human race, it is definitely not an easy task to achieved. But we have to fight for it. Because we are life itself. And every life is important and precious.

So people.. take this as another reminder for us that peace is for everyone to work hard for. So start from your home. Treat your family members or even your maid a bit nicer. Smile to the stranger that walked past you. And make his or her day for someone.

Take care! =)

Wow.. 16 out of 100 books! I have certainly been not reading lots of books. Maybe I have been reading the wrong books all the time. Haha.. Its hard reading 'good' books. Esp books like Les Miserables (Hugo). You have to be a very strong serious reader to be able to read it. Don't ya think so?

I'm saving money to buy the Time Traveler's Wife!

Some books like Lord of the Rings, Gone with the Wind, and Wuthering Heights are made into movies. So kinda lazy to read the books. But books are different right? They're always better.

But I'm sure they're books out there that are just as qualified to fit into this list. Hidden treasures waiting to be discovered. Anyone knows any books like this?

I wonder what the other books are about. To be in this list must be something. Whether this list is important anot. I shall go look out for these books are go try and read it. Wonder how it would be like if I have read all 100 books in this list?

Copy and paste it in your blog if you wanna do this tag!

What books have you read and love most in this list?

I LOVE BOOKS! =)

Five Favourite Malaysian Bloggers

Pink Fairy Princess Sa tagged me ages ago and now I'm doing it. I almost forgotten about it. Sorry ya gal. =)

I'm supposed to choose 5 of my favourite Malaysian blogger and describe what I like about them. Hmm... Lotsa kissing a*s here! Haha.. Wonder what I'm gonna get back after this? =P

Ok.. here goes.

No.1
Kenny Sia.

No surprise here. Anyone that lives in Malaysia and reads blogs would know who he is. I don't have to mention the reason on why he's so popular. He has over 10,000 visits a day. I don't really get it either but maybe its due to the fact that he's post are super hilarious. He can make the most mundane thing into something super funny.

You having a bad day? Check out his blog for some good laughs! And what makes him so special is that he's blog isn't about funny jokes are funny pictures, he blogs about everyday life and what he sees in everyday things. And somehow he manages to write something funny about it. His blog is also the best place to find out where good food is because he loves blogging about food! Other than me of course!

He's definitely my favourite Malaysian blogger.

Even if he doesn't know of my existence. =( haha..

No.2
MervKwok

Ok.. Not sure whether he's a Malaysian anot but here goes!

This blog is full of sarcastic remarks on everyday life. He's post are so full of it that it actually is funny reading it. He is one that is not afraid to blog about morbid stuff like death and loves to blog about putting stuff into his a*s! =P

Though he loves writing sarcastic remarks and criticizes everything that is sweet and beautiful (he tends to do that sometimes esp on love!), once in a blue moon you would catch a glimpse of the soft sweet guy behind. Especially when he talks about his one year old niece.

And you would just melt. ^.^

No.3
SewJin

I stumble upon his blog when I just started my own blog and I instantly fell in love with his blog. It is rarely where you come across a blog, read the first few post and proceeded to read the whole of his blog in one go.

That is how interesting he's blog is.

SewJin is a mechanical engineering student studying in UTM. Therefore most of his post would be about his life in the university. What makes it so special is that he blogs using conversation. He would describe everyday happenings as conversation with either him and he's friends or him and his inner mind or demon or whatever you call it. And he is not afraid to blog about how he embarrassed himself either with his lecturer, friends or some random gal that he met. Not sure whether it really happened or his just one creative guy but hell.. Its entertaining! =)

He once wrote that he scratch his balls in front of a stranger because he mistook the person as his friend and wanted to make a joke to his guy friend. Somehow or rather that 'friend' turned out to be an unknown girl. Haha.. Poor him.

And this my imaginary readers is what makes SewJin such an interesting blogger.

No.4

Merapuman

Wanna find a blog that posts weird pictures? This is the blog for you. Merapuman's blog is about jokes and weird stuff so be prepared to be either amazed and amused or cynic about the pictures he posts.

Some of them are so hard to believe that it makes you wonder.. Has that been photoshoped? I guess its for you to decide whether its true or not.

Some of them are seriously hilarious like the one I 'stole' from him a few months back.

What? I couldn't help it! It was too funny to not 'steal' it!

I sometimes really wonder where he gets all his materials! He's post are short and simple so when you have lots of blogs to visit, you'll definitely thank him for it!

And he's such a caring guy too. Helped me a few times when I had some difficulty managing my blog.

Good guy + Weird pictures and Jokes = Great blog!

I somehow sound like a Guinness Book Of Records commentator!

No.5

Princess Shin!

Of coz. Who did you think it would be? Obviously I would be one of the Five Favourite Malaysian Bloggers of all time right? I can't possibly leave myself out! I am definitely the best. In fact I should be the first!!!

Don't you think so? If you don't think so I guess I'll have to ask you to leave.

NONONO... Come back come back! I was just joking! >.<

What I love about my blog. Hmm... Let's see. I blog about anything under the sun... fashion, entertainment, movies.. which makes me quite hard to categorize myself unfortunately.

I blog about food. Everybody needs food to survive right? So the best thing I can do to my favourite imaginary readers is to share with you guys the best food out there. And post lots of pictures so you will salivate all over your computer screen! Wahaha...

That would be one great reason to put me in the 5 favourite list now wouldn't it?

I'm young and pretty. Though no one knows how I look like. But do trust me on this k? =P

I... I.... I...

I can't believe I can't find any reasons anymore.

Do you think my blog is great? Hehe... I'll send you a flying kiss if you praise me okay?

Mu...a....r...

Go write first!

I shall tag Miss Positve, Sew Jin, Terra Shield, and Merapuman on this! Enjoy!

Page 123 : A tag!

Wahaha.. I love being taged! Terra Shield taged me a while ago and now I'm here finally answering it! Wooohooo...

This is an interesting tag! All I need to do is just...

What you have to do is pretty simple...
1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open to page 123, go down to the fifth sentence.
3. Post the text of next 3 sentences on your blog.
4. Name of the book and the author.
5. Tag three people.

I rarely read books nowadays... Though I am super free... I must really take up some useful books and start reading up!!! I saw this book on my table and though I haven't read it yet.. I know its gonna be a superb booK!

Must finish this book by March! =)

Anyway.. Here goes...

War and Peace, probably the world's greatest novel, Resurrection, Anna Karenina, and other works of art brought Tolstoy colossal success and universal recognition. But his soul was always in torment. The discrepancy between Christ's message and man's way of life troubled him.

The Life of Mahatma Gandhi by Louis Fischer.

My turn to tag 3 people.

1. Tulipspeaks
2. Krystyna
3. Baby Sa

Just do it too if you like it! =)

Five things

I am tag again!!! Wahaha... I like being tagged! =) This time it was Janet a.k.a "wonder mom" that tagged me! I'm supposed to state 5 things that u guys don't know about me. Hmm... Where shall I start?

The main objective of this tag is to trigger creative juices in bloggers like us and develop the so called writers in us. Hmm... Wonder whether there's a little writer inside Princess Shin. Let's see... what do u guys wanna know? *thinks hard!*

1. I dream everyday.

Ok... I’m not talking about day-dreaming though I do day dream sometimes but that is another story. I meant dreaming while you're asleep! I do it all the time! Every single time in fact. There is not a day that goes by without me not dreaming. Even if I sleep for 10 minutes, I will still dream! And my dream ranges from getting my test results even before the real results come out to going out with my family, and even dreaming bout myself being pregnant! Oh goodness... scary right? Don't laugh but its true!

It may signify that my sleep are just now deep enough but ah well.. I liked watching tv while I sleep! My very own show! =)

But most of the time I dream about my high school sweetheart. =) I'll leave it at that!

2. I'm a daddy's gal.

I have said it. I admit it. I'm a daddy's gal. My dad is the person I look up to the most. I am actually closer to my dad compared to my mum. It's sad to say this but it's the truth. I remember I used to lie down beside my dad on the bed and beg him to tell me stories. My dad would then conjure up a story and I would just lie beside him listening intently to every word that he says. There's nothing that my dad can't fix. I remember I was terrible at art when I was in school last time and after much begging, he would then proceed to help me to draw, colour or paint and whenever he does it, my painting would then end up on the wall. Hehe... sad though I did not get his creative gene.

Though I still have heart to heart conversation with him now and then, but I sometimes find that there are some things that can't be shared with my dad. However, I still find joy in sitting beside him on the floor and leaning my head against his knees when he sits on his favorite cushion. =)

3.I wanna work for United Nations someday.

Ok... I have said it. There... don't laugh. I have no idea how am I gonna achieve this but it is just it. Nothing much to explain now. Thank you. =)

4. I'm a super greedy eater.

Well... this may not be something that u guys dun know about. The amount of times that I blog about food well... maybe some of u may guess by now. Wahaha... I LOVE FOOD!!! Any kinds of food. Chinese food, Malay food, Indian food, Western food, Spaghetti... ah... everything. I'm an adventurous person when it comes to food. Just give me something new and I’ll definitely try it. But if it's worms, well... it may take some persuasion.

The problem is though, I don't have a big stomach. I tend to order lots of food but end of not finishing it. So poor ppl around me will then have to stuff themselves up so as not to waste food. For that reason, I tend to get scolded A LOT. =( Boohoo...

And because I don't eat a lot, I get hungry VERY FAST!!! Unfortunately, no one wants to eat anymore. And I hate eating alone. See the dilemma here?

5. I get tongue tied when I’m in a fight.

Yup. Believe it or not but I have no control over my little brother at all even though he's 6 years younger than me. Every time we get into an argument, I’ll have nothing to say even though I’m bursting with anger! He will then proceed to fire me with four letter word (he's 13 now!) and win me with his sharp remarks. It's saddening I tell u. Embarrassing too... Sigh... I'm at his mercy.

Wow... that wasn't easy. Finally finish with this. Now it's my turn to tag the others! Wahaha... drop by Sharon's Five Things so she can link u too...

1. Baby Sa
2. Emma
3. Terra Shield
4. tm89lee
5. Winged Acrophobic

Have fun telling us ur secrets! Tata...

Trick, Treat or Tag!

Oooooh... I have been tagged for the first time!!! Thanks Irene! =) HAha... this is quite fun!!! Unfortunately I have never celebrated Halloween in my entire life! Ever... Dunno y though... Malaysia just doesn't have tat kind of celebration.. Oh Yeah.. Maybe it's because we celebrate Ghost Festival... Where all the ghost come out for food... something lidat.. (that's a different story tho.. ) So... Nvm... I’ll try my best..! Heheh...

1. What's the scariest movie you have ever seen.
HAha... u asking me that? I rarely watch horror movies... if I ever do... too scared of it! I'm afraid I’ll be the one shouting the loudest and everyone will turn around and look at me! Serious! Imagine if you're the only one shouting! Besides that... I know the image or scary scene will linger on for the next few days... I'M SCARED!

The only scary show I watch was Gothika... even that my boyfriend literally had to push me into the cinema! And I got so frighten after that he never suggested bringing me to any scary movie after that... HAha... poor him... Anyway... besides being scary... this show is quite interesting really... got quite a nice story line! You'll be surprised! It gets u thinking long after the show! Quite meaningful... though I had to sleep with the lights on that night! >.<

Just looking at the picture gives me the shivers!

2. What's was your favorite costume from childhood.
Ok... I'm just gonna write wat I imagine Halloween to be! I used to quite admire ppl that celebrated it! I remember always reading story books where the children will go treat a treat or something lidat! There's plenty on TV too!!! So my favorite costume from childhood will be dressing as a witch! I always wanted to know how's it like to be a witch! With pointy hat and a broom by the side! Hehe...

Hehe.. pointy hat!!! She's a bit sexy for a witch but wahaha...

3. If you had unlimited budget, what would your Fantasy Costume be for this Halloween?
Well... em... let's see... Cinderella perhaps? Together will glass high heels, make-up by Stilla or Bobby Brown! Em.. Some thousand-over-dollar-celebrity-like gown. Hehe.. maybe I'll look abit overdress but who cares! Just as long as I'm pretty! Maybe while you're at it throw in some liposuction too.. Like wat Irene said! Haha..

Ooooh.. can i change to dress to pink? and wher's my prince charming?

4. When was the last time you went for treat or treating?
Told you I never been to one b4... won't mind trying though... sounds fun!!! =) Free sweets!

5. What's your favorite Halloween Candy?
Not really sure what candy ppl serve... should be any kind rite? Ever heard of Daim's sweet? Love them!!! =) They tend to stick to your teeth though if you eat too much! Nvm... Still love them! Hehe...

Yum.... Serious.. u should try it! =)

6, Tell us about a scary nightmare you had.
Ok... this will be quite easy. I have dreams every single night without fail! Weird me! Anyway... I greatly remember when I was young my parents brought me to eat steamboat. You know those kinds where you cook raw food in front of you with a big pot of soup? Well... I remember we had prawns tat time... really fresh prawns! They were still jumping! So I happily threw them inside the steaming soup and watch them turn colour from blue to orange almost instantaneously! HAha... Unfortunately thought, that night itself, I had a nightmare! I dreamt that I was in the middle of the ocean and surrounding me was big prawns and octopus and all other sea creatures! They were huge..! And they were all ready to eat me up! So... hahah... it was certainly quite scary though I dun understand y my parents kept laughing at me after that... =.=

7. What is your supernatural fear?
Em... I dun really understand this question. The ability to see ghost? Like The Eye (though I didn't watch that show)? Scary... *shudders just thinking about it*

I was thinking of putting some pictures but looking for scary pictures at 1.00 am is quite terrifying! =(

8. What is your creepy-crawlie fear?
Actually I’m scared of anything that crawls and have lots of feet! Including worms, centipedes, weird flying objects... Argh!!! And I was supposed to study environmental science in my ex-uni! HAha... ok... I know most of them mean no harm and I’m trying hard to not be so scared of them but...

Ah...!!!

9. Tell us about a time when you saw a ghost, or heard something go Bump in the night....
I Dun ever want to see a ghost. Thank you very much. But I do know that my mind is in super imaginative mode come middle of the night... so I actually hear lots of Bump in the night! Whether it's true or not it's a different story!

10. Would you ever stay in a real Haunted House at night?
Well... seriously it depends on wat you mean by real... you mean ppl actually seen ghost there before? Or they just imagine? And are there gonna be ppl staying there too? Maybe a butler or something? They normally have these things in big mansions!

To answer Ur question... I don't think so... Too coward.

11. Are you a traditionalist (just a face) Jack O'Lantern Carver, or do you get really creative with your pumpkins?
Never carve a pumpkin and never seen a real wan before too... God! I sound like I live in a cave!!! HAha... seriously though, I always wonder how ppl really carve pumpkins! Can it be done? It looks so nice with all the holes for the mouth and eyes... amazing! HAha...

This one looks pretty amazing... a bit scary tho..

12. How much do you decorate your home for Halloween?
Em... none... Sorry... I'll try to do that when I have my own family k? =)

13. What do you want on your tombstone?
Hmm... Weird question. Ok... em... let me think... something nice I hope...

Here in lies the prettiest, kindest, friendliest, sexiest (hopefully!), cleverest, most compassionate wife, mother, and daughter who has definitely lived life to the fullest with all her achievements! =)

aww... so sweet... hope that's true though when I really die! HAha...
