Twilight Obsession

Oh my god.. I'm utterly and absolute obsessed with the Twilight series. You have no idea.

I first heard about Twilight a year ago when I went into the bookstore with one of my friend and she was gushing about how much she loves the story. I didn't have any interest at all whatsoever at that time. I mean what would be so interesting about a love story between a vampire and a human being?

Yeah.. what is so special about a guy being able to climb trees with an amazing speed and bringing you to the top of the world?

Or be able to protect you no matter what happens?

Or wanting to spend every single moment with you without feeling bored?

Big deal. Another Harry Potter craze. I have enough of that.

But then.. the movie came out.

I didn't even intend to watch it. I mean what's the big deal?

But then it became such a big thing! Everyone was talking about it. Students in my school went for the first screening at 12 midnight even though it was one week to finals!!!

So I went and watch it. Not because of anything but because I just wanted to see what was all the fuss about. And oh my god.. I'm officially hooked now.

Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) is ABSOLUTELY and UTTERLY CUTE!!! Ahhhh... My knees melted when I first saw him. How can anybody be so adorable? Oh my god....

Remember him from Harry Potter as Cedric Diggory?

My knees just went soft again..

Bye bye Orlando Bloom!!!

The show was wonderful. Maybe I'm still a teenager at heart but I'm crazy over the show. I even wanna watch it again!!! And the first thing I wanted to do after the movie was to read the second book of the series.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy it. I mean I wasn't that obsessed yet. What would I do with a random second book? I didn't thought I wanted to get the third or fourth book immediately. Besides that, I don't like reading books again. And I already have so much rubbish to get rid of when I graduate.

But when I went to Target the other day, I couldn't stop myself and I bought the second book, New Moon anyways. And if in the beginning I said I was obsessed, now I'm.. I can't even think of a suitable word for more obsessed.

I read the book till 9am today. I didn't sleep the whole night!!! Though after that I slept and ended up waking at 5pm. My days are officially out of sync. I can't get enough of it.

I went for dinner and went to Borders straight wanting to buy the third book, Eclipse. But it's so expensive. =( The paperback version is not out yet. And its freaking 20 dollars for the hardback copy and 23 dollars for Breaking Dawn.

So I ended up sitting in Starbucks with a cup of hot chocolate enjoying my book still Borders closed. But I only had 2 hours so I didn't really get enough of it.

I'm going to buy the books online from Amazon because I can get both Eclipse and Breaking Dawn for 24 dollars. Much much cheaper than getting it in the bookstore. The only downside is that I'll only get it a week later. So meanwhile, I think I'm gonna continue going to Borders to read the book.

Like I said. I'm obsessed. I have never been so obsessed about a book before.

I want a vampire as a boyfriend too. I want to have my version of Edward. Wahahaha..

I think I'm officially crazy..

I know I'm a hopeless romantic. I guess that's why I love this book so much. I guess I never grew up in terms of romance story. Compared to Harry Potter, the Twilight series is basically just a love story. But what makes it sooo special is the intensity of their romance. The eternity of their existence. Who can truly say they can live with someone for an eternity? No matter what happens. Even a hopeless romantic like me can't say that for certain.

Who wouldn't melt when the love of your "existence" tells you..

I can't live in a world where you don't exist.

Sigh...

Sex and the City-The awesome Movie!

*spoilers ahead. Venture at ur own risk. Don't say I didn't warn you..*

Oh my god... I can't believe I have finally watched the movie!!! Wooohoo.. after searching online for the perfect clear torrent file, I finally succeeded in downloading it. I knew I didn't want to watch it in Malaysia because I didn't want the censored version.

We all know how much Malaysia censor its movie! Even kissing is a no-no and we're talking about sex and the city here! Did u think it will be clean and pure?

And boy was I glad I didn't watch it in the cinemas. Wahahaha.. I came back to Malaysia before it starting showing in California so I didn't have the chance to watch it there. Even so though, I don't think I will feel comfortable seeing nude scenes with my girlfriends in the movie theaters. If you are a big fan of SATC like me, you will know that the stuff that they discuss in their series are always sex oriented so if they're gonna make a movie, I'm sure they will not sacrifice the one thing that made their show popular, which are sex scenes.

I watched it alone in the middle of the night when everyone was sleeping. It was much more fun doing there. Hehe.. laughing by myself with their jokes. Don't call me a perverted though. =P They actually showed a small peep of a hot Latino package!!!

Wahahaha...

Though I love the show tones, if you're not a fan of the show, I don't think you'll like it. Its basically an "ending" to the series. It starts with a little summary of the past 6 seasons. 5 years has passed and each of the character has grown from where we left them. I didn't really felt like I was watching a movie though, it was just like watching a super long version of their normal 30 minute series. Though it was really nice to see them again after the season finale. You can't help loving these 4 characters and treating them like good friends!

Yup.. somebody is getting married!!!

For the umpteenth time!

The front part was pretty boring. Even for a fan like me. I was wondering when was the climax gonna come. Was there no story line for this show? I think they spent a little too long building up the story. But after the climax, it was interesting. Lots of laugh and tears. Not to mention some hot steamy sex scenes. =)

For all the SATC fans out there.. Have you ever seen Carrie Bradshaw naked? Because come to think of it, all 3 of the characters besides Carrie has been naked before. What about Carrie because I cannot remember seeing her bare it all before. Is it because she's a higher celebrity than the others?

The story line is pretty good though besides the slow build-up. I like how they discussed some reality issues in the movie like "what exactly is marriage?" Do you think just because you're married you don't have to look after your appearances anymore? Do you forgive someone who cheated on you for ONE time and is totally devastated for his/hers action? Is there such thing as "meaningless sex?"

It did make me ponder for a while though. Not to mention the overemphasis on "finding love." They make it sound soo scary. That finding love is the ultimate objective of a woman's life. If you're not married by the age of 40, you're doomed for eternal loneliness.

I guess that's why they have Samantha as a character though. Prove that its okay for a woman to have different sexual experience every other day and be successful at the same time. Basically like a man.

I can't really decide who's my favorite character. I love Charlotte because she's kinda like me. A hopeless romantic. But at the same time, I don't think love conquers all. I still believe in the woman having her own dreams and life too. Though I guess its not wrong if your ultimate dream in life is to marry a wonderful man and have beautiful children.

I guess Charlotte is the perfect model for that.

I love the scene where she hugged Carrie and protected her fiercely from stupid useless Mr.Big. Galfriends are your life!!! And the part where she cursed Mr.Big and pop her balloon. Hehe..

I don't really agree with Miranda too. She's a bit too strong minded for my liking. Always career career and career! What about having fun and loving life? And the way she treats Steve? Poor Steve! =.=

She can be surprisingly hot if she wants to though..

I don't really know what character Carrie plays. She's always hopping from one relationship to the other but always pining for the infamous Mr.Big.

I still can't forgive her for dumping the perfect Aidan. Yup.. I still prefer Aidan any day!

Sigh.. remember him?
They were ALMOST married!

Stupid Carrie.

Her choice of clothes are always fun to watch though!

And her craze for shoes? >.<

I can never understand that. Only woman themselves look at other woman's shoes. Men just can't be bothered looking down at women's shoes. Though I think I don't really have any right to say anything seeing that I just bought 14 tops in 3 days!

Samantha is one interesting character. One that I love to read and watch but don't think I can ever be.

Don't you just lurve her hat?

She goes for plastic surgery, has sex with random guys every other day and wears killer dresses all the time! One thing though, I would love to be able to get into VIP clubs and restaurants with a flick of my hand. Ah.. the sex education we get from Samantha..

And her "falls" once in a while! =P

I'm definitely going to miss this series though. I have to admit I have learned sooo much from this show. From "the rabbit" to gay sex.. Sex and the City is the best guide to sex! I recommend it to any innocent young girls wanting to know more about the forbidden word "sex!"

Boy am I gonna miss them..

Way Back Into Love

This was the song I was telling you about from Music and Lyrics!

Enjoy!

Way back into love (Music and Lyrics)

I've been living with a shadow overhead
I've been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I've been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past, I just can't seem to move on

I've been hiding all my hopes and dreams away
Just in case I ever need em again someday
I've been setting aside time
To clear a little space in the corners of my mind
All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
Oh oh oh

I've been watching but the stars refuse to shine
I've been searching but I just don't see the signs
I know that it's out there
There's got to be something for my soul somewhere
I've been looking for someone to shed some light
Not just somebody just to get me through the night
I could use some direction
And I'm open to your suggestions

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I'm hoping you'll be there for me in the end
There are moments when I don't know if it's real
Or if anybody feels the way I feel
I need inspiration
Not just another negotiation

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can't make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart to you
I'm hoping you'll show me what to do
And if you help me to start again
You know that I'll be there for you in the end

Music and Lyrics

Ok.. I'm gonna try again. For those that don't frequent my blog, I just wrote a super long post on Music and lyrics and when I was about to publish it, my firefox hang! Hang gei!!! And poof! All my post gone. DOwn the drain! >.< But I'm sure you guys have no interest on that. You guys wanna know what I think about Music and Lyrics right? Well..

I LOVE THAT SHOW!!!!!!

Yup.. its that good. Its that kinda show where when you leave the cinema, you have this warm and fuzzy feeling all over you. And you'll keep playing all your favourite parts over and over in your mind and have this silly smile on your face all day.

Its that good.

Even after a week I still think about the show. Its such a sweet romantic show.

And not only coz I'm a gal and generally girls love romance show, I have received multiple raving reviews from even guys saying how good the show is. Whether they're true macho guys is another different story but.. =P Joking!

Ok.. I have to stop promoting this show. Lets get down to business.

Alex Fletcher (Hugh Grant) plays a used-to-be-famous-80's popstar who's having trouble finding jobs due to the fact that he's famous no more. He then meets a Christina Aguilera wannabe Cora Corman (Halley Bennett) who's even more famous that Christina herself and she wants him to record a song together. Unfortunately Alex can't write good lyrics anymore. In comes Sophie (Drew Barrymore) who's a natural born lyricist and both of them form a team in producing the best song ever. In which obviously things start to sizzle and romance fills the air.

Watch the show if you wanna know the ending.

Do make sure you're not late for the movie coz the front part is absolutely hilarious! What I love about this show is other than the sweet romance that fills the air, there's also the hidden jokes inside almost every conversation that is exchange between Alex and Sophie.

Growing up in Malaysia has made me form a habit in which I read the Malay subtitles in every show. Even if I can very well understand the show. But I realized that I can't do that while watching this show coz first off somehow something will be lost in translation. And the fact that the cast in this show speaks super fast doesn't help either. So pay attention to the conversation and you'll sure to find plenty of jokes.

And Hugh Grant's accent is ever so sexY!!!

Oooh... Drew Barrymore is cute as ever. Playing the sweet-girl-next-door that everyone loves.

Check out Haley Bennett too. I reckon she's gonna be the up and coming star! Watch her move her sexy body on the dance floor.

Their theme song, Way Back Into Love is fantastic. It just keeps playing and playing in my mind even after the credits finished rolling like 2 weeks ago.

If you're that kind that is into music and bands. This show will let you in a little bit on how songs are made. And how important lyrics are.

So yeah.. this show is definitely worth watching.

The Ultimate Gift

What is life? Is money equal to Happiness? Does it mean that if you have money you will be happy? What guarantees happiness?

When his wealthy grandfather passes away, Jason Stevens thinks that he will get big inheritance. Big inheritance equals big money. Instead all he gets is a video from his grandfather asking him to complete twelve tasks. If he completes them, he will get the inheritance. These twelve tasks - or 'gifts' - are designed to challenge Jason in improbably ways, sending him on a journey of self-discovery. The task include finding a true friend, working in the field etc etc.. He is then forced to discover what is the most important thing in life. Money or Happiness!

This is what the movie 'The Ultimate Gift' is all about.

The Ultimate Gift" is a movie starring Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin (she's so cute!) , James Garner, Ali Hillis, Drew Fuller and Brian Dennehy. It will be released March 9.

It is based on the book, also named 'The Ultimate Gift' that has been an underground hit around the world and sold 4 million copies. The movie, and the book is based on the message: "The only way you can truly get more out of life for yourself is to give part of yourself away.”

And because of its profound meaning of the show, more than 300 pre-screaning have already resulted in over $ 5 million in donations to charity. Even schools are incorporating the message into their curriculums. It has even sparked a unique teen philanthropy initiative called "Show of Hands".

Watch the trailer and see how interesting the movie is.

Little Miss Sunshine” star Abigail Breslin’s, is wonderful portraying this innocent girl in 'The Ultimate Gift. She's so cute and adorable you can't help falling in love with her. Watch this short clip on her in 'The Ultimate Gift'.

I love movies that have meanings. Movies like Click, Blood Diamond shows the world that movies are not just for entertainment purposes. They have a deeper role than that.

Oooh.. I can't wait for the movie to come into Malaysia's theaters.

Blood diamond

A blood diamond (also called a conflict diamond or a war diamond) is a diamond mined in a war zone and sold, usually clandestinely, in order to finance an insurgent or invading army's war efforts.

I din know anything about what this blood diamond was all about until I watch the movie yesterday. Wow... this movie is just amazing. So thought provoking and filled with controversy issues.

Imagine buying a diamond in the store to prepare for your wedding without knowing that maybe the diamond that you just choose actually help to fund violence in the country the diamond originate from. Woman, men, and children being killed, slaughtered... just so you can have beautiful diamonds on your finger.

Makes me not want to have a diamond ring on my finger. Lucky future husband! =(

But seriously, conflict diamonds are a major issue in the world now. What can we do about it? There's this Blood Diamonds are for Never campaign that aims to end the trade for conflict diamonds. If there's no demand, there will be no supply.

Next time when you buy a diamond, insists on a guarantee that the diamond is conflict free.

Its really scary just thinking bout it. The sufferings the citizens have to go through just so the rebels can have more weapons to kill more people.

I went into the cinema not knowing at all what the show was about. I wasn't a big fan of Leonardo DiCaprio but he's acting in this movie is really not bad. I especially love his accent. He's a big boy now! A manly man.. No more little Titanic boy! =P

Not gonna spoil the movie for you guys that haven't watch it. Jennifer Connelly was excellent as usual portraying the journalist wanting to make a big difference in the world but finding it almost impossible.

Leonardo DiCaprio's character which was torn between feeding his own personal gain and stopping the sufferings in his country. Really makes you think. How do you draw the line between having to put food on the table but at the expense of other people?

There's still much going on in the world that we don't know about. In the movie, child soldiers was one of the issue they touch on too. Imagine brain washing a child into holding a riffle and killing their fellow people.

Watch the trailer here.. and learn more about Blood Diamond.

I definitely recommend you guys to watch this movie. Maybe you'll become like me too and not buy diamonds. =)

The Devil Wears Jimmy Choo!!!

haha.. this is wat u called 'san si hang'.. just started my blog today and wrote 3 entries plus this wan!!! unfortunately this is only temporary as i'll be goin back to my uni soon and i wont have any computer with me.. unless i am willing to fork out 2 bucks and hour to write my blog at the cyber cafe which i think it's a rather a waste of money.. but we shall see..

anyway.. as i was saying me and my boyfriend went and watch 'Devil wears Prada' just now at 1U.. yeah it's not officially out yet but dunno y they had screenings.. wanted to watch 'The Banquet' which to my boyfriend it is called 'The Blanket'.. dunno why he doesn't like it.. >.< st="on">New York and venture into the fashion world. But as usual.. (spoilers ahead.. abit only.. wont spoil alot) the lead actress had to make a choice. High fashion designer clothes and career or a humble loving boyfriend tat is a waiter?

Life's like tat.. you have got to choose.. it's either a high flying career or be a stay home mum.. why muz we need to choose? can't we have everything? Being a woman is indeed not easy. We wanna achieve lots of things.. be a CEO in the company.. save the poor and the sick.. wear nice expensive Jimmy CHoo's shoes while saving the world (wonder how u'll gonna do tat).. and at the same time teach your kids homework.. be there for their recitals and in the night still hav the energy to make love with your hubby..

we woman certainly dont get it easy. But there's where all the satisfaction lies right? at the end of the day.. when we see all the happy faces around.. we know that we have lead a truly fufilling life.

Tat's why Daisaku Ikeda, the SGI president always stresses on how important a role of a woman is in the family. Coz only she can brighten up the whole family. We are indeed very important!!!

Goin back to the story. Em.. where was i? Anyway.. long story short.. it's a very interesting story especially for those branded suckers out there.. the transformation tat Anna Hathaway experience was quite amazing.. all though i have no idea why she is always needing to go for transformation. Princess Diaries also lidat. But the fact is tat money can really do wonders.. especially if you have Channel necklase.. Gucci boots.. and Dior's Coat to go along with it..

and not to mention celebrity's make-up artist tat charges by the milisecond.. y cant i have money..? so i can save the world and be 'runway material' at the same time.. >.< style="text-decoration: none;">

Fabulous..

wonder if she's also one of those actreses tat cannot accept that they are growing old and goes to 10 thousand plastic surgery to make them look em.. 'prettier'? i actually quite like her.. hope she'll grow old gracefully..

Catch it if you have the time.. go along with your girlfriend to watch it.. you'll enjoy it.. just be careful tho.. =)
