Prison for the Innocent!

I first heard about Guantanamo Bay when I attended the Perdana Peace Conference when I was in Malaysia last year. It was described together with Abu Ghaib, which is almost similar to Guantanamo Bay. Just hearing people speak about how the US military puts innocent people inside in the name of protecting the nation and destroying terrorism made me sick! Protecting the Nation? Yeah right!

How can they catch people and sent them to prison without any trials or allowing them to have a lawyer? Do you know Guantanamo Bay is under a "human rights free zone", which means that this place is not under any international law? Universal Declaration of Human Rights is not applicable anymore.

People are being tortured there. For years without end. Sleep deprivation by putting them into brightly lit room 24 hours a day, putting them into small confined spaces, uncomfortable positions, these are just to name a few. And only 10 out of these 400 prisoners actually have criminal records! The others don't have a clue what they are doing there!

Can you imagine?

Check this website out and learn a little more about Guantanamo Bay.
