Vietnamese and Spanish Food!

I changed my layout! Yup... A bit bored with my pink layout! Wat do you guys think? Better? Can see my pictures clearer too.. Right? Yes? Hehe..

Another round of photos again! Hope you guys dun get nauseated over soo much food! =)

This afternoon we went to this Vietnamese shop for lunch.

This is the 1st time i have eaten such food so it was really a very interesting experience. The minute you walk in to the shop, you can see an array of food displaying there.. sorry for those Muslims readers but this will not be a halal post! Hope you guys don't mind! =)

Kinda scary looking at it. We didn't order those though.. i just took the pictures for fun!

Them displaying everything!

This is kinda normal! Hehe.. chicken!

Roasted pork!

Pork sausages. Kinda reminds me of something else though.. long and hard..
But this is kinda short.. so... =P

Frog legs! >.<

I quite like frog legs.. but they have so many bones.. My mum said they looked like humans! With the thigh and everything.. Right Mum... >.< style="text-align: center;">Grass!

Notice the pepper? You're supposed to eat it together with ur soup! Really pepper-ry! HOT!!!

Imagine bitting into one. I couldn't swallow. Had to spit it out.. Sorry.. Hehe..

Then our dishes arrived!

Sotong/calamari! With mince pork inside.

Tiger prawns. Not sure cooked with what.

Small tinny winny rice grains. Can you see it? Very soft and fragrant.

For some reason, my parents called it the 'broken rice'. I have no idea why.

A whole feast!

Although it was an enlightening experience but somehow i didn't particularly like the food served over there. It taste weird. =( But my family didn't mind it though. They quite like it. And i always thought i was the adventurers one in my family.

I guess I was wrong! Boohoo...

For dinner, we went to this Spanish Restaurant. It is opposite Hyatt Hotel. So maybe you can drop by there next time you stay in Hyatt.

Very quaint little restaurant. 4 Floors!!! Shops here are all thin and tall... Like the Vietnamese Ladies! hehe...

The bar..

We basically only ordered 2 main dishes. My dad didn't really know wat to order.. so.. hehe.. still a bit hungry now!

Slices of very salt-ish bacon. Or ham..

It's called Jaman Liberico.. or something. Last one in the menu! Supposed to eat with bread. Or else.. I can still feel the salt in my mouth. =( Special though..

Jaman Lberico, pata negra... can someone explain to me wat's tat?

We had to wait for 30 minutes for the next dish. It was already stated in the menu. But it came like 45 minutes later. It was unique though.. seafood with rice. "Paella Marinera" -a classic spanish style dish with rice and seafood. There was crab, prawns, mussels.. not bad. I quite liked this.

I had to quickly shoot this before he started "spoiling" it!

See? Spoiled already!

Mum had calamari!

Compared to the rice this afternoon.. this was BIG!!

But i had crab. Wahaha... din know how to eat though.

I only know how to eat the "claws" hehe.. watever u call it! =)

Like i said. We only ordered 2 dish. Time for desert!

Chocolate Ice-cream!!!

It was just an okay ice-cream. I still prefer my Baskin Robbins back in Malaysia. This one was a tad sweet! I want my Baskin Robbins!!!

Chocolate Mousse Cake.

Notice the not so perfect cake? My mum hates it when she has to wait for me to take pictures. I wasn't fast enough this time. Boohooo...

It taste something like cheese cake though. But dad said it was mousse cake so.. no point arguing with my dad since he seems to be a professional. Yeah right!

One of the good things of ordering little food. You have plenty of space for desert! Wahaha..

Mr.Bull must be their mascot. But no bull? Wat did they mean?

Yup.. the shop's name is Pacharan. Reminds me of 'pancaran', malay word for light. or beam.. something lidat.

All in all it was quite a lovely experience. I would definitely come here again and try more Spanish dishes. But i think i really need someone to introduce me on wat is nice.. or else.. SALT-ish!!! Hehe...

Going back to Malaysia on Wednesday! Can't wait! ^.^

Or it'd be better: just some coffee !

Dear -princess shin-, you may have the photo if you like it, I'm happy you enjoyed it
In true life, I have this place with a gorgeous view forwards to paris and these twelve strong pillars !
Depending on the weather, they always seems so different !

I went on Saturday just underneath these twelves pillars, there is a beautiful ground yard there The weather was wonderfully sunny
I took some pictures from an olive tree that grows there
It isa symbol of peace, it's the reason why it was set there

Soon it will be protected against freezing because usually they rather grow (in Europe)in Spain or in the South part of France

Nevertheless, I prefer when the sky is not so blue ! I find that a cloudy sky is much more romantic !
