Jet LAG!
Nah.. lame attempt at a joke. More like liquids, aerosols or gels. And she then proceeded to curse the States! She always does that. No offense to my wonderful readers reading this. But for some reason or another, she just hates that place. Mainly coz every time my dad goes there for a business trip, he either looses a digital camera, a laptop or a digital camera again. Yup! Those people working in the airport over there must be pretty rich now!
Even after we all tried to rationalize with her that they can't do such thing, she went out and argued that this was wat she read on the newspaper.
Anyway, the point was after I heard her curse and curse and curse, I then proceeded to get myself all worried and uptight about how am I gonna survive not bringing any liquids to US AT ALL!!! Not even into my check in bag!!!
What about my perfume that my boyfriend gave me? My Leonard Drake cleanser, toner and moisturizer? All cannot bring ah? Where got such thing wan!!! What am I going to do? And my contact lense solution?
Itu pun tak boleh bawah ah? Wat la those terrorist people!
Then finally after months of worrying, I finally went and did some research on my own. You know la.. I kinda last minute wan. =P
And this is what I found.
PETALING JAYA: Effective May 21, liquids, aerosols or gels (LAGs) in airline passengers’ hand luggage will be limited to 100ml per item on all international flights departing Malaysia.
LAGs carried in containers larger than 100ml will not be allowed, even if the container is only partially filled. And these containers must be placed in a transparent, re-sealable plastic bag with a maximum capacity of one litre.
And though I was super angry at her for misleading me, I can't really blame her for thinking lidat because no where does it mention that it can be checked in!!!
Sorry mum for arguing with you just now! =(
As usual for our local newspapers to mess things up. So clever me went and googled it up! And this is what I found!
Travelers face tighter security and longer lines because of new airport rules in the USA and UK after a plot to blow up airliners bound for the USA was uncovered. With a busy travel weekend ahead, here's what you need to know:
Q: What can't I pack in my carry-on bag?
A: The new rules ban almost all liquids, creams and gels from being carried aboard flights. That means you should not pack sunscreen, lotion, shampoo, toothpaste, hair gel or beverages in a carry-on. Those items must be put in your checked bags. If you are in doubt about an item, pack it in a checked bag or leave it home.
No where does it mentions the 100ml thing. But it's ok. I know even Singapore Airlines is having this so called 100ml liquids thing. But continue reading..Q: Besides the ban on liquids and gels, what else will be different about security?
A: The TSA said screeners will be checking passengers more thoroughly at checkpoints, including inspecting more bags by hand. They also will be searching some passengers a second time immediately before boarding — a practice instituted shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks but discontinued several years ago.
Scary la.. What has our world turned into?
But now I'm kinda confused. If Malaysia tells us that there's this rulling of 100ml of liquids on all international flight, does it apply to US too? But what about the article we read just now? It doesn't apply? Argh.. Totally confused.
What do you think?
At least now I don't have to force myself to pour the cleanser onto my face and splatter my favourite Hearts perfume onto my body just so I don't have to throw it away when I get over to the States!
Now I just have to make sure I manage to squeeze everything nice and tight! =)

yeap i think most of those 'potentially harmed' countries are placin this ban in order. just like when i came back from melbourne few mnths ago. not a total ban tho.. just limited quantities.
oh wait.. u can put it in the check in luggage. the terrorist can bring in acetone peroxide, etc in different bottles to make tatp and boomb.. there goes ur aircraft.
which made me think... how about gel-filled bra?!! hahahaha
oh wow... you're leaving already?
i remember they allow check in la, u know the beauty of our malaysian mainstream media la. ohh... going into a LDR eh?
hmmm... based on your dad's experience, looks like those ppl in US airport has got an extra hand.
OMG you're going to the States!!! Come come befriend me so I can make you help me get stuff there :P
I think I can help you here... I went there last November. You need a zip-lock bag, of a certain size ('quart' I think, but not sure. The container size allowed for US flights is 3 ounces, which is about 90 ml, but I'm sure an extra 10 ml won't screw you. Everything has to fit in the ziplock bag, and usually they'll ask you to carry that bag outside your carry-on.
just bring the perfume...get everything else there in the states. :D lovely blog.
Because to Jagung collapsed - thats what happened :)

Even melbourne also got now? Argh.. What is the world becoming into? What is acetone peroxide? Varnish? Haha.. I was terrible in Chemistry! Gel-filled bra ah? Hmm.. They may even ban it one day. SOmeone may switch the gel inside and make it a bomb!
