Teenagers nowadays all want a credit card. With celebrities like Paris Hilton, the Olsen Twins, Lindsay Lohan using money like it falls from the sky, its no wonder that young people everywhere yearn to have that kind of spending power too.
People use credit cards for different reasons. Some for the convenience as you don't have to bring large amount of cash everywhere, some for the thinking of 'spend first, worry later'.
Whatever it is, my personal opinion is that though credit cards are certainly a major luxury for us, but if we don't take care of our spending habits, we may get ourselves in deep debts!
I personally have always wanted a credit card. But the yearning has wavered over the years. Looking at my spending patterns, it would certainly be much safer if I were to not own one. It is just too easy to succumb to the 'evils' of the credit card and indulge yourself on maybe a Gucci bag even though you know you don't have that amount of money!
But that is my personal opinion. I would definitely get one in the future when I'm sure I have the ability to not get myself in debt.

if one is wise, credit card can be used for good cash flow management. of cos, one must have discipline.

Credit cards are a tool to manage your money. if you have good credit rating you can get rewards and bonuses. But borrowing money with a credit card is the silliest thing to do.
