Singing In the Shower?

I was talking to a friend yesterday about karaoke and how karaoke in the US differs from those in Asian countries. Seriously it does. If you have been to karaoke in Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan or even Malaysia, you'll noticed that in Asian countries, karaoke is done in small little private rooms where you only sing to your friends and family. You get a private room fully equip with a TV, a couple of shop shure microphones, nice sofas and sometimes even free drinks.

In the US however, its in a bar or a restaurant and if you want to sing, you have to do it in front of everyone! I don't know if I like the US version. Its a little too intimidating. I mean its fun and most times the audience don't care because they know its normally awful. But still.. who wants to sing in front of a whole bar of people?
