Technology nowadays is crazy. I don't even need to wait for twenty years to remininse how "yesteryears" was. I just need to think back a couple of years and see how drastic our lives has changed.
It was my friend's birthday the other day and the restaurant we wanted to go was closed. And immediately, guess what everyone did? They whipped out their phones and started looking online for the nearest restaurant that had good reviews. And after they found it, they googled mapped it and used the GPS system to bring me, the driver, there.
All in just a couple of minutes.
Crazy I tell you.
And just today, the same friend of mine had a web video conferencing with an interviewer. My professor also conducts job interviews with candidates she's thinking of hiring. You don't even need to be physically in front of the interviewers anymore. You just need a laptop and skype and you're done.
Seriously.. I can't even imagine 5 years down the road where our technology will bring us.

I wrote something similar some time back.
It is seriously scary looking at the rates technology is going. We are being too dependent on it that we are losing that human touch.
