(3-4 yrs ago only) It feels horrible! In the end, i passed it on to both my younger sisters cos we were all in the same house & room...

I know it feels terrble & horrible at this time. I totally understand how u felt. Recalling on how i got this super duper infectious virus.. I also duno how i got it. Only remembered tat i went to the doctor twice on the day my bf said tat i might have chicken pox. The stupid doctor in the morning told me its not chicken pox, just some rashes... Gave me some cream & anti-itch tablets to eat... Then now i got this super duper big mark on my right shoulder cos i scratched it. There were 3 spots... :( Thinking it wasn't chicken pox, my bf brought me for a movie after he finished his work.. After the show, more spots appeared on my arms & neck & i started to feel more feverish... Immediately we went back to the same clinic & reprimanded the doctor! He gave me more medication & didnt charge for consultation, only charged for the medication.

Rested 2 whole weeks at home, didnt dare to eat "rubbish". Must choose carefully so in the end, i ate plain porridge or plain bread almost everyday... My frenz & parents told me to stay away from "black coloured food" if i dun wan the spots to turn dark... I listened as i was not as young as my sis who ate & drank everything tat can be eaten or drunk.. Now, she has some dark spots but is fading slowly cos she caught chicken pox when she was still in primary school... Her skin was still in the "growing" stage..

Drinks lots & lots of water. Herbal Tea is also ok. It brings the "heatiness" in the body down. Keep urself covered to prevent urself from scratching. Can get those calamine lotion to apply on the spots to make them less itchy. It is very cooling. My sisters & I applied the lotions on the spots everyday until it wasn't getting too itchy.

As for u, better to ask ur mum to keep away from u, as far as possible if she doesn't want to get it. Its true tat older ppl who gets chicken pox are more health-threatening. They would need double the care & attention you need now.

Take Care!!

ThumbelinaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34883576.post-1167892976657681942007-01-04T01:42:00.000-05:002007-01-04T01:42:00.000-05:00Hi Shin, I got chicken pox when i was abt 20yrs ol...Hi Shin,

I got chicken pox when i was abt 20yrs old.. So at least you have your computer to keep you company.

Anyway, there's a very effective cream you can apply on your face to avoid scarring. Couldnt help it cos we slept in the same room so I got it straight away! It was YUIKKKKKZ! I know how u feel cos I was sooo weak and I looked like some spotted monkey abt to be dead. Yeah it's horrible to get it. Just do one thing...take it easy, dun eat meat, drink lots of water and calm ur mind. Now that u have got it, u can only do one thing...think abt getting better and think positive thoughts. I really hope ur parents dun get it too. Cos I've read that if older ppl get it, it can be dangerous. So ask ur mum to keep away from u as much as possible.

**Aren’t people with chicken pox supposed to be quarantine or something?

So true! I have seen ppl with active Chicken Pox spots on board. It's so not fair. I feel so irritated when I see such ppl cos they r being so selfish and dun seem to care abt spreading germs ard. U should have told the baby's parents that what they were doing was so wrong! I know that Syd airport quarantines ppl with infectious diseases. But who can really tell if someone's carrying germs! Maybe they should provide a full medical report prior to flying.

Keshi.Keshihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17147250771662427208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34883576.post-1167871503483139042007-01-03T19:45:00.000-05:002007-01-03T19:45:00.000-05:00Wow, that's terrible, sorry to hear about your chi...Wow, that's terrible, sorry to hear about your chicken pox.
