Swine Flu Craze

Traveling traveling traveling.. That's all I do these days. =( I don't want to sound like a spoil brat because I know there are a lot of people in this world that has never sat in an airplane before but..

Boy am I tired of sitting in planes..

All you do is just sit in the small tiny seat which is super uncomfortable (well.. of coz I'm in economy class) and wait for the time to pass. If you're lucky, you get to watch movies if you do long distance international flights by Malaysian Airlines. If you're not, you have to just amuse yourself by looking at other people snoring or babies crying while you wait for the time to pass because you have nothing better else to do!

And you know what is the worst thing these days???

The stupid SWINE FLU!!!! The stupid flu has made everyone so paranoid with all kinds of sickness! People give you the coldest and most scariest glare if you actually dare to cough or sneeze in front of them! God forbid if you try and blow your nose!!!

I have been sick for the past 3 weeks with cough, fever, and cold all at difference times. Maybe I got the swine flu.. who knows but its such a nerve wrecking experience being on the plane and not being able to control yourself coughing.

I mean I'm sorry I can't stop coughing but... its just a cough!!! I wont kill the entire population for god's sake. Dont' you fall sick too?

Argh... people give you the angriest glare! So discriminating I tell you!!!

When we arrive in Pudong, Shanghai airport, there were actually two men dressed in spacemen outfit that came onto the plane and pointed laser guns at us to measure our temperature!!! They wouldn't even let us out of the plane first!!! So what if I got a temperature of 40 degrees? Are u gonna shipped me back to Malaysia without letting me see a doctor?

WTF???

Yeah.. this swine flu case is seriously getting out of hand. Its just a small flu for crying out loud. Plenty of people in the US die of various kind of flu infection every year. Just because this so called pig flu is spreading around the world doesn't give you the authority to treat people discriminatingly! People die of anything! Like crossing the street to go to Starbucks!!! You can die of that too you know!!!

So stop glaring at the poor girl that is coughing non-stop next to you.

Porn?

Keeping a blog is seriously not an easy task. Whoever that told you that you can earn money easily by blogging is totally faking it. Just look at me and you'll know.

My blog has gone through so many ups and downs until I have lost touched. It has gone from about a few hundred visitors a day to a mere 15 visitors a day. Of course my blog has not reached the ranks of kennysia.com with millions of visitors a day but at least I know some human beings read my blog.. or maybe not.

Getting one's blog up to various search engines is not an easy thing either. I know of bloggers that purposely use words such as "porn," "sex" and stuff to put their blog on search engines even though their post has nothing to do with those titles. Like me! Wahhahah..

There is also another way to increase traffic for your blog and that is by directory submission. Basically you submit your blog to the website and they will post your website's address on their main page. In return you have to either blog about their website or put a button that directs readers to their website on your webpage.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

Basically to be successful in anything, one must be able to devote time and energy into it. Only then can you truly be successful in your field.

I want babies !

Women nowadays face lots of problems. On one hand, one wants to be a successful career minded woman while on the other hand, one still has to fulfill her motherly desires and her biological clock by having children. And that’s definitely not an easy thing to achieve, how can one be a successful career woman while at the same time maintaining a healthy harmonious family? I always have a problem dealing with this. I mean I already know that I want a family in the future, but at the same time I want a career on my own. I definitely don’t want to be a housewife that stays at home looking after the children all day long. No offense to housewives. =)

But I also don’t want my child to spend his or hers vital years in the care of a maid or a babysitter. I’m sure lots of women are facing this dilemma nowadays. Seriously not an easy question to solve. However, I guess things are easier now with blogging and online home business where you can deal with your own business at the comfort of your home. Not only can you work at your own time but you can also be with your children at their most important years. Of course there is a lot of scams out there in the internet world that claims you can strike it rich with just a click but with one is successful, one can really get good money.

Hmm.. I wonder how do I start my own home business. What should I sell? My old stuff! Teehhee!

Candle in the Wind

Hello imaginary readers! Sorry for the lack of updates lately! I've just been so busy, but now I'm back =). I bet you guys are wondering what's up with the title of this post. Well it actually has nothing to do with the song, I just put it there cause it sounds good!

Anyway, a good friend of mine had a birthday a couple of days ago, and being the smart girl that I am, I suggested surprising her the same way we did for Jenny a few weeks back (read the previous post if you're a newly hatched imaginary reader) with candles! Lots and lots of 'em!

So yeah, basically we formed her name out of a whole bunch of candles (sorry no pics this time around!) and surprised the heck out of her! Then we had the cake and stuff, and it was great! But then time came to clean up, and then we realized that the candles had all melted into piles of wax all over the patio =(.

Then her mom came out and made such a big fuss over the tiles, and we had to scrape all the piles of wax off her clean polished tiles. It took us almost a whole freakin hour! Sigh. Would've been so much easier to just order a new set of porcelain tile for the patio and let someone else come install them and do all the hard work, don't you think?
