Krispy Kreme

The first time I heard about this Krispy Kreme doughnuts was while reading Kenny Sia's blog. He said that it was the best doughnuts that he has ever eaten and that there were fireworks when he had his first bite! The only doughnuts that I ever ate was those sugary doughnuts that you can find it those regular bakery shops. Only after coming to KL did I had my first taste of
these commercial doughnuts and it was from Dunkin Doughnuts. I kinda liked it. Didn't exactly love it to death but I love the one with the strawberry sprinkles and the one with the raspberry jam inside.

Never ever heard of Krispy Kreme before and you couldn't blame me because according to Kenny Sia, the only outlet in South East Asia is in Indonesia! Of all places! Weird right? Even the whole of Japan only has one Krispy Kreme outlet and people have line up for 3 hours just to get it.

Crazy right?

There was another time where I heard about Krispy Kreme. My friend from Australia came back for holiday and we were talking about food. He then told me that Krispe Kreme is the very best! I thought he was talking about the Crispe Crepe we had that was in One Utama for a while. I absolutely love their crepes especially the one with turkey and cheese. When I told my friend that, he looked at me blankly. Then we both realized that we were talking about 2 different things. How can doughnuts have turkeys in them?

But.. whatever it is, both are absolutely delicious. I don't know why Crispe Crepe eventually close down.

Anyway.. back to the topic. I finally went to the Krispy Kreme outlet after being in US for almost 5 months. There had a little factory inside where they show you how they make their signature doughnut which is the original glazed doughtnut. It is basically just glazed with sugar. And the best part is they will serve you their freshly made doughnuts immediately!

I don't really know how the process works.. So here goes me crapping! =)

First you make the dough..

Then you kinda cook it and fry it..

Then you soak it in oil..

Fill it up with sugar, sugar and more sugar!
This is what makes it so yummy!

Tadaa!!!

So many of them!!!

That's how you make doughnuts! Go try it at home!

Wahaha..

Oh my goodness...! I so want one now..

After the little show, you line up to buy for a doughnut yourself!

There are so many different flavours!

Not really that expensive!

But still not as many as Dunkin Doughnuts though..

I expected fireworks for my first bite for the doughnut and you know what..?

I got it...

Oooh.. It is absolutely delicious!!!

Its kinda crispy, yet soft at the same time. Once you bite into one you just feel like having another one, and another one and another one. Until you get diabetics and die.

=(

Ok.. its not that serious but its really that good.

Too bad I can't bring food into the airplane or else I can bring it for you guys to eat..

Wonder when will it come to Malaysia?

We bought one box and I ended up eating 3 of them! Not together of course! 2 for breakfast the next day! =) But I'm still fat! Boohoo.. Havent weigh myself since I came to SF. Kinda afraid to do so.. Ah..

You just need to put it in the microwave for 8 seconds. Why exactly 8 seconds I have no idea but it was still super delicious the next day..

Ah.. just blogging about it makes me hungry.. Why must I blog about food I don't understand.

It was kinda weird too holding the camera and snapping pictures all around while everybody else is just lining up buying doughnuts. Makes me look like a kampung (village) girl!

Aiya.. but who cares.. my imaginary readers more important right?

But yeah.. Do try it if you have the chance! Expect fireworks! ^.^

The craziness of playing golf!

I don't understand what this craziness about golf is. It seems that only the rich and famous play it. My father had to force himself to learn how to play golf because his bosses started to ask him to play with them and though he didn't like the sport at all, he had to bring himself to the driving range every weekend to improve his skills!

Golf equipments are not cheap I tell you. But you really have to find those high quality ones to ensure a good game. Ogio has very good bags for golf, travel, and more. But though my dad hated it innitially and thought it was a boring sport, he grew to like it in the end.

I guess I should try it too to impress my boss someday!

Merry Christmas!

Oh my goodness! It feels like just yesterday when I had my first Thanksgiving celebration! Right after that day, Christmas songs started to play everywhere you go and Christmas decorations were up and about in all shops. Everyone was busy thinking of what gifts to buy each other and sending off Christmas cards.

Now its Christmas.

No.. correction.

Now Christmas has pass!

Oh my god.. is it just me or when you're get older, time just start flying by?

Why do I keep feeling that time is passing by super fast? My first semester of my university life is over and I have been living in United States for over 5 months already! Can you believe that? I.. daddy's little girl has been away from home for the first time for over 5 months!

And we are gonna receive year 2008 in a few days time.

Don't ask me.. its a random heart right smack in the middle of SF!

Where did the whole year go?

Sigh.. I don't know about you but this time thing is really starting to freak me out. What am I doing with my life? Am I living in to the fullest?

Nevermind.. let's not talk about that first.

I tell you.. it is so different really being in the midst of the real Christmas celebration. Everyone here takes Christmas shopping so seriously. Unlike in Malaysia where you just buy presents for each other just for the sake of it, or for the fun of it. Nobody will say anything or feel bad if you don't get them stuff. Christmas day is just another holiday. I don't know about the other families in Malaysia but that is how my family and friends celebrate Christmas!

Over here.. you can really feel all the excitement everywhere you go. All the advertisements that you see on TV is about getting the perfect gift for the special someone. For the last weekend before Christmas, prices are slash down so much that it is just crazy. Stores like Mervyns open from 5am to 2am last Friday, Saturday and Sunday for last minute shoppers. When I went to the city in San Francisco, my goodness.. it was brimming with people. And all of them had bags and bags of wrap presents in them.

And the funniest part, on the 24th of December, at around 6pm, all the shops start to close. I don't remember this happening in Malaysia. It only happens on Hari Raya eve and Chinese New Year eve but definitely not Christmas eve. The stores open almost the whole day the weekend before Christmas and the night before Christmas it is close. And on Christmas itself, it doesn't open at all! The whole mall closes! It like the city is dead!

Christmas is just a huge deal over here..

So different.

I'm staying with a Chinese family over in San Francisco and you know what they do during Christmas day? They get together with the whole family, grandparents, aunty uncles and all and have dim sum in a Chinese restaurant! All Chinese restaurant during this day will be full! They are the only shops that are open on this day. And married couples give unmarried children ang paus (red packet) during this day!

Seems that SF has the largest population of Chinese people besides China!
Very evident here in the blend of east and west culture!

I am so surprised! Ang Paus on Christmas day? Wow...

I actually received USD 20 from one of my friend's aunt! Haha..

I wont be celebrating Chinese New Year though so I guess this would be the closest I will get in having a CNY celebration.

And you know what is the best thing is all this craziness? Tomorrow (or today technically!) is the day after Christmas and you know what is so special about this day?

Everything is on even more SALE!!!

It seems that because it is after Christmas, nobody would wanna buy anything anymore. But because the year is gonna end and shops have to get rid of their stuff soon, they will put everything super cheap to get rid of them!!!

That is why I have been facing such a gigantic dilemma of whether I should buy the stuff that I want even though it was super cheap already. What if it gets even cheaper?

The only other day that shops sell stuff super cheap is the day after Thanksgiving and that is called Black Friday! But the day after Christmas is even cheaper than Black Friday and shops start opening at around 5am!

So tomorrow me and my friend would go out of the house at 6am to start going shopping!!! Wooo....!!! Wish me luck!

Though I am still not asleep at 3 am in the morning. I wont have strength to shop tomorrow! Woo-ah..

Can't wait!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Light!!! Ah..

Oh dear.. I realized that my eyesight is getting from bad to worst. After almost 12 years of wearing spectacles, my power is still increasing!!! Ah.. this is so terrible. By the time I turned 40, my spectacles will be as thick as a piece of bread! Gardenia bread! Ah...

People in US just love dim lights. I don't know about you but my house back in Malaysia was always super bright! My mum hated dim lights. She always say she wasn't a romantic person and hated it when we when to hotels where the lights are always dim. The room is my dorm has only one ceiling light and it is super dim. I was finding a hard time looking for the perfect lamp so for the longest time, I had to strain my eyes in doing my homework and research. I think that is the reason why my power is increasing now. Oh dear.. I am worried but there's nothing I can do now. I know there is laser and stuff but I'm still not ready to have my eyes bombarded by a ray of laser. I have no idea why Americans like their houses to be so dim. What is the point? Ah.. Maybe they like romantic setting every single day. Ah well..

I definitely need more light fixtures for my room. I just hope it doesn't go any more serious. Its scary. Boohoo..

Ouch!!!

Wont that hurt! Goodness.. I don't understand how she can still have such a big smile on her face..

=.=

Hotel Reservations

Ever since coming to the States, I have started to really use the internet for buying random things. I always thought that the internet cannot be trusted and that if you start using the internet to buy things, one day some guy will use your credit card number and steal all your money. I still think this way actually but the internet is too convenient for me to be bothered by this anymore. I recently just bought my air ticket back to O.C online too. I don't have a air ticket in my hand now, the only thing that I have is my number.

Doing Hotel Reservations through the internet is also more convenient too. Gone are the days of having to go through those non-cooperative staff and waiting on the phone listening to the boring elevator music while they check if they have any available rooms. Now you just need to key in the days that you are going and voila.. you're ready to go. What's best is that most online sites have great offers available.

Have fun booking your holidays!

San Francisco

Sorry for not blogging about this earlier! I have been so occupied lately. No.. correct that, I have been kinda lazy lately. There is so many things for me to say but I can't find the mood to sit down and slowly type everything.

Who ever said that blogging is easy?

Anyway, I have been staying in SF for the past 1 week and I'm loving every minute of it. Apart from wishing that I have Cody beside me or feeling lonely seeing everybody busy doing holiday shopping, I feel kinda high with all the shops around SF. I haven seen the Golden Gate Bridge yet so don't ask me how is that. But I have certainly seen a lot of shops around here! I can go crazy just spending money here! It is so scary I tell u.

Orange County is a boring place. Everything is so short! The buildings I mean. Everything in SF is all tall! You feel so small standing amidst all the gigantic buildings. Though it was kinda weird having an asian gal standing in the middle of the street holding the camera taking pictures of the sky, but I couldn't helped it!

Dont mind if the picture looked armature to u.. I am an armature photographer! =)

I cannot wait to go to New York next! I wonder if it looks like this too!

But seriously though. Coming from KL, which has a lot of tall buildings too, it gives u a different feeling when you see all these tall buildings here. There are so many of them and all side by side. Making the sky so small and you so tiny when you look up on them.

Architecture is such a awesome field of study.

My favorite picture of all!

Taken inside the spinning door!
(not sure what you call those things!)

See how slim the building is!

This is supposed to be a famous building.

The American flag!

I actually spotted a few hills when I was in the car on the way to someplace and I commented on how there were so many hills in SF. My friend actually told me that the hills that I saw were nothing compared to the other hills in SF. Some are so steep that there are stairs beside the hills to help people to go up. I was thinking how steep can a hill be? How can people not be able to climb the hills? People climb mountains don't they?

Until I saw this.

How do the cars actually drive or even parked?
Goodness gracious me!

I love how people get to buy their newspapers from little boxes like that. No more newspapers vendors!

It is so colorful!

I really wanna go to more places but I can't expect my friend to take me out everyday. So I'm actually going out myself these days. But I'm still not very sure where to go myself. But don't worry, I wont let my 3 weeks here go down the drain. Expect more pictures soon! =)

I need more memory space!

Ah.. this is the first time that I have finally know the feeling of really owning a computer of my own. Ever since I was a little girl, I had to share the computer with my whole family and even though the computer was supposedly my family's, my younger brother had a big say in what went in and out of the computer. The computer's memory was always nearly full with all my brother's games and shows. I loved downloading (shh..) shows too but I always had to be careful because too much of it would slow down the computer.

Now that I have my own computer, I found out that it is not as easy to maintain the computer as I thought it was. My laptop's memory is slowly feeling up by the day with all my photos and movies! I am so afraid that one day it will just crash and my precious stuff will all be gone! I know I should save them into a CD but I'm just so lazy. Oh dear..! And there is another alternative of getting a hard drive to put in all my stuff but..

What do you think?

Oranges!!!

Hmm.. I don't know what is with me and oranges lately but this is another cute picture! Haha..

Growing old

What do you think about growing old? Everywhere u see, especially in the US, you get advertisements that broadcast the importance of being beautiful. There are hundreds of products out there that claims to help you be more beautiful, as if you are not beautiful in your own way. There are also plenty of advertisements that claimed that you can eat whatever that you want and still lose weight at the same time.

Where did the loving yourself no matter what motto went? What about growing old? Is one supposed to have plastic surgery for the rest of one's life and be like Michael Jackson? Let's face it, growing old is a natural and definite process. Your metabolism WILL go slow and your organs WILL slowly fail you. Its whether you make the best of it or not. That's why there are products like the stair lift to help you make the best of it, especially when you're having a hard time going to your own bedroom.

Growing old is not so bad after all right?

I miss my family..

I havent missed my family in a while. I miss them but not painfully that kind. I always hear my mum's friends telling her that when their daughters went overseas to study, they would call back home the first few weeks and cry on the phone telling their mums that they miss home.

I have never done that. I dunno why. Maybe I have been really busy with my college stuff or that I'm stronger or something, but I have never called home crying. The only time that I was close to doing that was somewhere in August, when California had the forest fire and the haze around town reminded me of Malaysia, but my mum never called so I didnt cried in the phone.

Until now..

Maybe its because I'm living with my Chinese friend and seeing her in the restaurant meeting her parents for the first time after 4 months away from home and seeing her with her grandfather, uncles and aunties made me think of my own family too...

Maybe its because her family speaks Cantonese and after being in a English speaking environment so much, it kinda reminds me of home, the difference is that I don't have my family around.

Though I have totally no confidence in speaking Cantonese myself.

Maybe its the familiarity of eating Chinese food after having bacon and eggs so much that it reminds me of home, only the difference is that I don't have my family around.

Maybe its because of being in a Chinese home and seeing so many familiar things that my house would have too that reminds me of home, only the difference is that it is not my home.

I have been trying to get my dad for the whole morning but because of the time difference, I only finally managed to get hold of them late in the night at 10pm! For some reason, after hearing my mum's voice, I burst out crying and did that for the whole 30 minutes!

Now, just the mere conversation of how much I miss my family kinda brings tears to my eyes now.

Somebody said I don't miss home anymore.

Well.. I do. Its just I have to make the best out of not being able to go home.

Oh no..!!!

Took me a while to get it...

Hahaha..

Baby Cribs

I'm staying in one of my classmate's house in SF, and you know what? It is a baby's room!!! I mean, I would have love to live in this room if I was younger, but now.. Haha...

Its full of Winnie The Poooh Pictures!!! I love Winnie the Pooh but its a bit too much! Oh dear.. I'm gonna not like Pooh after living in this room for 3 weeks! Haha..

She actually told me that I am gonna live in the room that has a baby cribs but I didn't expect this! Haha.. it was full of baby furniture!!! There was a stove fully equipped with phone, fridge, microwave and sink! There was even hot dogs and hamburgers inside the stove! I have a princess bed side table with pictures of Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Cinderella! Haha...

I'm a little gal all over again..

Princess Shin is Off!!!!

Wooohooo.. guess where Princess Shin is going?

The land of the three magic witches!

Can't guess it? Not a TV freak like me?

Charmed!!!!

I'm going to the land of Charmed!!!!

Gonna sit 10 hours of bus and train all the way there!!!

Wooooo!!!!!

Exciting!!!

I'm off guys! See u there!

Are u a health freak?

I have always hated exercise! Time and time again I tell myself that if I want a beautiful body! I have to work hard for it! But.. it's so hard!!!! Running is hard.. going to the gym is hard.. sweating is terrible, smelly and sticky!

But I love to eat and I wanna have a beautiful body!

There are so many exercise equiptment out there! There's the elliptical where everybody swears by, and many others out there but.. Boohooo..

In a dilemma now.. But..! Believe it or not, I'm in my college's swim team now! And I swim 3 times a week! Have been doing that for the past 5 months now!!! Can u believe that?

The only problem is that I'm having holidays soon! Uh-oh...

Do you remember this?

For some reason, I just thought about the Commonwealth that was held in Malaysia almost 10 years ago. Oh my god.. was it that long? Time is passing so fast nowadays.

Remember how big a deal it was?

Remember how many t-shirts, magnets, there was in 'night markets' where the monkey was doing different stunts?

Remember this song?

THis is one of the limited Malay songs that I grew to love...

I remember that was the first year I came to KL. I even went and watch the reheasal of the opening ceremony! It was totally amazing I tell you!!! Soka Gakkai Malaysia did the human graphics!

Did you remember that?

Ah.. those were the days..

Are insurance really that important?

Hmm.. I dunno about you but I always thought that this insurance thing was kinda weird. I always thought that insurance was just another 'easier' way for people to earn more money. I mean, paying a company every single month just so that 'if' something happens, you will be able to get some financial help? I mean, what are the chance for something bad to happen? And everywhere you go, there seems to be millions of people selling insurance, especially something like term life insurance!

But, that was what I thought when I was younger. Now that I'm kinda 'older' now, I do understand the logic behind it. Anything can happen and will happen. Take the California fire for instance, those families lost their homes in just one day! Though it may seem like a trouble to have to see your savings go down a little bit every month, it is definitely worth it when something bad does happen!

Touch wood everyone!

I wanna bring things back!!!!

Argh.. I hate this!!!! I'm not going back this winter break and though I don't feel bad about it, I feel sad that I can't bring back some stuff from Malaysia!!! Argh.. due to my procrastination, I only started packing the night before I went to US and obviously I didn't get to bring a lot of stuff!!! How stupid was I!!! Considering the fact that my whole family went with me to US!!! I have unlimited access of baggage that I could bring!! But no... I was lazy and only started packing a few hours before my flight was due!!!

Argh..!!!

There are only 2 Malaysians in the whole campus! Me and another girl. However, the other girl is from Georgia so she wont be going back to Malaysia anytime soon! But, I found another girl that is going back to Malaysia this holiday and I was so happy that she offered to carry stuff for me back home. I bought a tons of things for both my family and Cody, but yesterday she just told me that her bag is full and she can't bring a lot of my stuff back home!!!!

Argh.. I'm not angry at her coz I know she's already doing me a big favor by helping me even if it is just a little bit but I'm so frustrated!!! Argh..!!! I bought so many stuff and now I can't bring anything back? Argh!!!

=(

If her bag is already full even before she goes there, how is she gonna help me bring back my stuff? I was actually planning to ask my mum to buy some Maggi Mee for me. You know those mee in the mug kind? I miss the curry flavor so much!!! Curries here are so horrible! Ok.. I'll stop complaining! Curries here doesn't taste like curry because it is not spicy at all!!! =(

I want my Maggi Mee!!! But Maggi Mees are big and I don't think she'll be able to fit it into her bag for me?

Argh...

Booohooo.. I guess I just have to wait till I get back next May!!!

Or is there any of my 'imaginary' readers that are going to California any time soon? =)

Wanna buy a house?

Houses in California are really different compared to houses in Malaysia. For some reason, I prefer our big and spacious houses in Malaysia where you have living room, dining room, wet and dry kitchen, maid's room, and laundry room all in just the ground floor. The houses in California are all short and stumpy!!! You can practically touch the roof! And for a girl as short as me, the houses must really be very short! But unfortunately, if I were to stay in US, I'll have to make do with the houses here! Though I heard that properties here are really expensive! I guess that's why people go to real estate agent to find the best deals!

Wonder when I'll finally have my own home? =)

Writer's Block!

I have no idea what to write!! Argh.. I hate when this happens! For the past few months, everytime something interesting happens to me, I'll be like.. "Oh!! This would fit well in my blog!" But because I never go on immediately, I can't remember a single thing anymore!!!

Ahh...

Help!!!

I'm a terrible blogger I know..

Bare with me.. =(

Is taking drugs normal?

I know I come from an asian country and by watching and reading American books, you kinda get an idea how 'normal' it is for young kids to get hold of drugs but I didn't know that almost all kids here have tried or have seen their friends taking drugs before! Its so normal to for people to smoke pot or 'chase the dragon'! Its not something serious or terrible! Its like smoking for them! Its kinda scary thinking about it! Though I'm sure a lot of kids get out of that phrase eventually, but its still kinda scary thinking about it!

On the other hand, if they don't get out of that phrase, it can be a total destruction to their future! If u know anyone like that, do get them into an addiction treatment! You can save their life!

How big is your memory?

I don't know if I ever mentioned this but my university gives every student a laptop during their freshman year, and though I have 60 GB of memory space in my C Drive.. but I really don't think it will be enough to last me for the next four years! What with all the pictures that I'm taking every single day, the shows that I'm downloading (shh..), and of coz not to forget my papers and all.. That's is the whole point isn't it? Microsoft documents are so huge!!!

What I need is a computer memory upgrade ! Then I can watch all the shows I want!!! Wooohoo..

You din hear that from me!

Drinking in College

I don't know about Malaysian's university or college, but it is so normal for students to drink in dorms. Though the age limit to drink alcohol in United States is 21, there are always parties going on in dorms where students get together and drink. Is drinking really that fun? I understand if you wanna drink once in a while to release stress or to celebrate a special event, but every single day? Argh.. and I always hear students complaining about a hangover the morning after! Argh.. What's the whole point?

They should try alcohol rehab!

Father daughter Relationship

What I love about my dad is how he always shares with me his stories about what is going on in his work. Even though we are far apart and we rarely talk lately because of the time difference and our busy schedule, every time we do chat thru skype, he always tends to relate the topic that we are talking about to the current problem that his company is facing at the moment. From his colleague's temperate personalities, to his hard-pleasing boss, I always love having him share his stories to him. Though sometimes I think he should go for corporate performance management courses. =)

I'm so blessed to have a dad like him that actually strives to have a relationship with his children. I'm sure we have all heard about the stereotypical 'Chinese' dad who watches TV and read newspaper all day long and doesn't talk to the children at all. If he has anything to say to the children, it will always go through the mum. I do have friends who has fathers like that. I'm not saying those fathers are terrible but my dad is the best! =)

Wanna feed the poor children of Africa?

This is not a sponsored post. I found this website and its surprisingly interesting. For many people, students especially, vocabulary is one of the hardest in the English language. Especially when you start attending college, thesaurus.com is a life-safer. But that's if you have the internet when you write you papers, what about when you sit for those pain in the a** SAT or GRE exams?

Argh...

They can make you feel so inadequate about your mother-tongue! So sad I tell you!!!

This website can help you improve your vocabulary! Its like those reader's digest vocab quiz! Though I barely know half the words there! So sad I tell you!

But the best part is, every time you answer one question, you'll provide 20 grains of rice through United Nations to end world hunger!!!

Killing two birds with one stone!!!

Just don't get addicted to it! Go study!

What is in your room?

Having my own room in campus is really the best thing I can ever hoped for! There are two kinds of room in campus. One is a double room where there are 2 beds and is shared by 2 students and the other one is a suite where there is another 2 smaller rooms in one big room sharing a common bathroom! Yup! Did I mention each room has their separate bathroom? The students here are spoiled rotten I tell you!

Now that I have my own room, though we do have the normal furnitures like desk, bed frame and closet, I still feel the need to buy my own furnitures to decorate my room. I certainly went and checked out Bush furniture to see if there are any interesting good there!

Don't you feel your room reflects your personality? Whether it is dark and gloomy, bright and pinky, messy, neat, it all tells people what kind of person you are.

FYI, my room is pink, neat and bright! =)

My High School Best Friend's Birthday!

Oooh.. Today is my best friend, Liz's Birthday!!! I can't believe everyone is slowly turning 21 years old now. Soon it'll be my turn! Argh.. I don't want! I want to go back to sweet sixteen! Sigh.. once you pass the 20 year mark.. time just passes by and soon you'll be sixty years old!!! Boohoo..

Liz and I have known each other since we were in Form 1, which was when we were around 12 to 13 years old. That's 7 years of friendship! We were in the same class in Form 1 but we didn't really talk to each other though. She was this pretty popular girl that everyone like and I was this weird girl that came from the other side of the country. We joined the same club in school though, we were both librarians so I guess that's where we started to know each other's name. And slowly.. after a few years, for some unknown reason, we started getting closer.

She has always been Little Miss Perfect. (Sorry gal! You are! ^.^) Being good at every thing. She was the prefect leader, always smiling, prefect in her results and since I mention she was pretty too, it was normal that she had all the guys kissing the ground she walked on.

The guy that I had a crush on even turned out to like her in the end! Heartbreaking I tell you! =(

But for some reason, she was a wonderful friend. We always had tons of stuff to talk about. Though mostly it would be about boys, boys and boys! Haha.. How much I miss those times!

After high school, we separated. I went on to study Form 6 and she to college. There was a big gap between us now. Form 6 being all studious and serious while college life being all about fashion and partying. We lost touched for a while but for some reason, whenever we do get together, things seemed to never changed and we could talk for ages again. And because of the occasional get together, I still knew what was going on in her life and who her new friends were.

Since I came to US, I never spoke to her at all. Though we do 'facebook' each other once in a blue moon, I don't really know what's going on in her life and she too mine. But today (yesterday for her) is her birthday and it suddenly struck me on how important she is to me!!! I have been there for almost all her birthdays in the past years and for her most important 21st birthday, I couldn't be there to celebrate it with her. I felt so sad.. =(

Thanks to International calling cards though I managed to call her and wish her Happy Birthday! Only after hearing her voice do I realize how much I miss her! Argh... friendships are such fragile things but true friendships no matter what will never change over time. I really hope that even though we may be worlds apart and we don't really know what's happening in each other's life, our friendship will still remain pure and true.

Happy Birthday my darling Liz! Muarx!
