Student loan

Higher education is so expensive nowadays. We all know the importance of pursuing higher education but how many of us can afford it? Most of the time our parents would have to survive on bread and butter for the next 10 years just to sent one of us to the university. On top of that, because of all the student loan that we get, we would be totally tied down right after we graduate. In debt even before we start to work.

Sound scary right?

This is the realities of life. I'm having a hard time trying to think of ways to finance my university education too.. Esp in the States. Its scary just thinking of the amount of money my parents have to fork out for me. And I still have a little brother to think of. How can I use all their money?

Anyone wanna sponsor me? =)

Sydney Hotels

I absolutely love traveling! One of my favorite places is Sydney, Australia. I remember going to the Sydney Aquarium and letting the staff chop fishes on to our wrist. The fishes there are just absolutely beautiful. There's this big gigantic fish tank measuring from the ceiling to the floor with hundreds of fishes inside. I could just sit there all day all night! It was really breath taking.

Sydney Opera House, an architectural wonder was also beautiful. Watching it on TV and standing there right in front of it is really 2 different experiences.

Prepared to visit Sydney? Well check out Sydney Hotels as they have a wide selection of hotels where you can choose and make reservations. I remember staying in a hotel very close to Hyde Park so it was a breeze getting from one place to another as everything is a walking distance away.

Did I mention the shopping there too? Ah... Shop till you drop my friends! =)

Have a blast!

Chobits

I'm not really an anime fan. I don't understand how people can chase tens and hundreds of these series day in day out. And talk about them all day long. Its even more rampant over in Asia. The Anime craze has slowly took over Malaysia too and I dont really get it.

My brother is considered one of the anime fans. He doesn't read the comic books but he uses his own pocket money to buy the DVDs. And let me tell you they aren't cheap. Feeding this particular interest is certainly gonna burn a whole in your pocket.

I'm not a big fan of the anime comics too.. I find it a tad bit hard to understand. With all the Chinese words and all that.

However, when I was in high school I remember reading this particular series, Chobits. Heard of it?

In the near future, personal computers take the form attractive women, called Persocons. Kinda like iRobot. The difference is these robots are super cute. They look exactly like human except that all of them have pointy ears. It tells of a young 18 year old guy, Hideki Motosuwa, who is a poor student who failed his entrance exams to get into college. So, Hideki is forced to move to the city, get a job, and attend cram school in hopes of passing the next college entrance exam. He of course, wants a Persocon for himself, but is way too poor to afford one.

One day, Hitoki finds a Persocon in a trash heap. However, his new find doesn't seem to be like the others he's heard about. She doesn't seem to have any operating system at all, and only says "Chii". As Hideki learns more about his Persocon (aptly named "Chii"), he finds that she is not of any known type, and most likely some sort of homemade model. Its the story of how both of them slowly develop a friendship and love.

But how can a human and a persocon be together?

He also learns of the rumor of the "Chobits", Persocons with the ability to think for themselves, instead of running only complex programs.

Therefore, the main story line would be,

Is she the one?

That was 5 or 6 years ago. A few days ago, I saw my brother downloading an anime series and guess what it was? Chobits! Wahaha.. So now.. I'm slowly filling my time by watching it now. Pretty interesting. Slowly trying to learn Japanese too.. Hehe...

She's so cute right? Kawaii neh! =)

I especially love this particular character, Sumomo. She this small cute pink persocon. She's as tiny as ur palm but super cheerful and lively. Always jumping up and down. Hehe..

There's one thing about Japanese Anime that truly intrigues me.. It is how each and every series has its own very unique story line. One that you will never ever think of!

Though Chi has no memory of who she was before this... Occasionally she hears voices and this dark mysterious persocons that looks exactly like her would come visit her. Who is she anyway?

One thing though.. I hope they don't drag this series too long and please do give me a happy ending! K? Thanks!

Millionaire Dating site

It is so hard to find love nowadays. A clash of interest, religion, philosophy and the relationship is down the drain.

What more if you're a millionaire. How would you know whether the person you're dating currently is not after your money? How would you know the person that you're so called in love with is actually secretly wishing that you fall dead right after you finish writing a will?

Ok.. call me morbid or a pessimist but this IS the realities of life right?

So how do you go around with this? Well.. the best way is to look for a partner that is equally as rich as you. Then you don't have to worry about anything at all. Both are you are equally wealthy so there will be no mistrust between both of you. Problem solved.

Where do you find people that are equally rich too? Well.. None other than Millionaire Dating. This is a dating site for single millionaires, and men and women looking to meet them.

Have fun looking for your partner! =)

Shadows

Remember on my last entry I wrote that I have a terrible relationship with my brother? Well.. things have started to improved slightly. L:ast time we use to exchange one or two sentences to each other for like a year. Now.. its more like a week. Not bad for a terrible sister like me right?

COMMUNICATION is the key man!!!! Yeah!!! Wahaha...

Where did the change come from? You ask! Well.. I couldn't stand that I had such relationship with my younger not so baby brother anymore. I was tired of comparing myself with other friends of mine that have brother or sisters whom are also their best friends. I realize that the change should not come from my brother coz that's the way he is. I can't change him. He can be rude and defensive all he wants but if I am like that too... we would go no where.

So.. I made a determination to change. To be the one to make the first move. To be the one that actually start a conversation with him. Talk to him regarding what interest him the most now. Anime... Studies... Lost... Everything that a hot and pimply budding teenager is interested in. I am after all the big sister. And it was not easy I tell you.. seriously... I was so used to totally ignoring my brother and him to me, being indifferent to each other, pretending that each other don't really exist that I totally forgot how to have a conversation with him! It was all awkward and stuff! Imagine that! This was how bad my relationship was.

But it was definitely rewarding when he started to open up and tell me stuff. Though we still don't communicate much but I'm proud to say that I know I have a brother now. Not an invisible brother. This is what Human Revolution is all about. To change your inner self for the better. And I'm acting like what all big sister should be. Be there for them when they need you. =)

Took these 2 photos when I was in KK, Karambrunei. Nice peaceful resort. Nothing better else to do.

I somehow look fat! Or maybe I am... =(

My brother is no longer shorter than me! He's actually taller than me and he's so proud of it. Always purposely stand next to me in front of the mirror to remind me that fact. And him gloating about it. Sigh... I'm short.

GOod luck to me on continuing to challenge myself! And to you too!

The heart of one person moves another's. ... If one's own heart is closed, then the doors of other people's hearts will also shut tight. On the other hand, someone who makes all those around him or her into allies, bathing them in the sunlight of spring, will be treasured by all.

Blood diamond

A blood diamond (also called a conflict diamond or a war diamond) is a diamond mined in a war zone and sold, usually clandestinely, in order to finance an insurgent or invading army's war efforts.

I din know anything about what this blood diamond was all about until I watch the movie yesterday. Wow... this movie is just amazing. So thought provoking and filled with controversy issues.

Imagine buying a diamond in the store to prepare for your wedding without knowing that maybe the diamond that you just choose actually help to fund violence in the country the diamond originate from. Woman, men, and children being killed, slaughtered... just so you can have beautiful diamonds on your finger.

Makes me not want to have a diamond ring on my finger. Lucky future husband! =(

But seriously, conflict diamonds are a major issue in the world now. What can we do about it? There's this Blood Diamonds are for Never campaign that aims to end the trade for conflict diamonds. If there's no demand, there will be no supply.

Next time when you buy a diamond, insists on a guarantee that the diamond is conflict free.

Its really scary just thinking bout it. The sufferings the citizens have to go through just so the rebels can have more weapons to kill more people.

I went into the cinema not knowing at all what the show was about. I wasn't a big fan of Leonardo DiCaprio but he's acting in this movie is really not bad. I especially love his accent. He's a big boy now! A manly man.. No more little Titanic boy! =P

Not gonna spoil the movie for you guys that haven't watch it. Jennifer Connelly was excellent as usual portraying the journalist wanting to make a big difference in the world but finding it almost impossible.

Leonardo DiCaprio's character which was torn between feeding his own personal gain and stopping the sufferings in his country. Really makes you think. How do you draw the line between having to put food on the table but at the expense of other people?

There's still much going on in the world that we don't know about. In the movie, child soldiers was one of the issue they touch on too. Imagine brain washing a child into holding a riffle and killing their fellow people.

Watch the trailer here.. and learn more about Blood Diamond.

I definitely recommend you guys to watch this movie. Maybe you'll become like me too and not buy diamonds. =)

Asia Entertainment News

How much do you know about celebrities in your own region? We tend to make so many hue and cries on celebrities in the Western World and their news are also easily accessible over the internet but where can you find a good place to find out about your favorite stars in the Asia Region?

I'm sure they are a lot of fans out there crazy about stars from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea. I know I am... I'm absolutely crazy about Louis Koo. He's so handsome. Dark, manly... Ah... And I know there is a big craze regarding a not so unknown artist resembling the water falling from the sky.

Yup..!!! None other than Rain!!! Seems that he is now one of the Times Top 100 Most Influential People. Amazing right?

He's gonna have a concert in Malaysia and his ticket price is like RM700!!! Woohooo!!!

There's now a good place to get the latest celebrity and entertainment news, Asia Entertainment News is definitely the place to get the latest gossip.

So now we have a place to find out what our favorite Asian stars are up to... Heheh...

Page 123 : A tag!

Wahaha.. I love being taged! Terra Shield taged me a while ago and now I'm here finally answering it! Wooohooo...

This is an interesting tag! All I need to do is just...

What you have to do is pretty simple...
1. Grab the book closest to you.
2. Open to page 123, go down to the fifth sentence.
3. Post the text of next 3 sentences on your blog.
4. Name of the book and the author.
5. Tag three people.

I rarely read books nowadays... Though I am super free... I must really take up some useful books and start reading up!!! I saw this book on my table and though I haven't read it yet.. I know its gonna be a superb booK!

Must finish this book by March! =)

Anyway.. Here goes...

War and Peace, probably the world's greatest novel, Resurrection, Anna Karenina, and other works of art brought Tolstoy colossal success and universal recognition. But his soul was always in torment. The discrepancy between Christ's message and man's way of life troubled him.

The Life of Mahatma Gandhi by Louis Fischer.

My turn to tag 3 people.

1. Tulipspeaks
2. Krystyna
3. Baby Sa

Just do it too if you like it! =)

Soap Opera Site

Any soap operas fan out there? Shows like The Bold and The Beautiful, General Hospital, Days of Our lives, and the Young and the Restless has been running for over 30 years! That's really a long time... You actually aged together with the actors and actresses inside the show.

For those die hard fans out there, there's this new website, Soap Opera that has everything you want. They have spoilers, pictures, cast list, message board and a whole lot more for you to chew on for your favorite show. What I like about this site is its comings and goings. They'll tell you who and who will be guest staring in your favorite show. Shows that they feature include Ugly Betty, All My Children, One life to live, As the World Turns, Guiding light and a few other more. You'll definitely find what you want here.

However, I think this site still has a lot to improve on. First off, the shows that they feature, not counting Ugly Betty, is way too 'old' for me. I wouldn't mind if they include shows like Desperate Housewives, my all time favorite Grey's Anatomy, Alias, and a few other current shows. Besides that, it wouldn't hurt too if they used a more interesting template. The one they're currently using is a bit too simple for my taste.

That's just my personal opinion.

But... seeing that they're only just a few months old, they are certainly doing a pretty good job. So for big fans of Days of Our Lives, go check out what is installed for your favorite show this weekend! =)

New Phone!!! & cute butts!

Hello people! This is gonna be a very nautti post! Parental discretion advised! Hehe...

Cody just bought a new phone! Sony Ericson 850i... really cool phone! It’s white in colour and super stylish. I love it! Haha... every time he comes over nowadays I steal his hand phone and ignores him the whole day! =)

We bought it in Plaza Low Yat at RM1335.. Anyone got it at any cheaper price? That was the lowest we could find! Everywhere we went, the sales person kept telling us that it was the best price they could give. Any cheaper and you would know that they switch the battery or the earphones to something of a cheaper quality. Dunno true anot...

And everywhere we go... they would tell us that their price was the best and they would then proceed to show us that everything was original. Haha... marketing. Watever la... we bought it already... fake also no use now...

But the quality of the pictures is surprisingly clear. For a 2 mega pixel camera you can take pretty good shots. No wonder people wanna have cameras in their phones nowadays. It’s so convenient..! I used to think that a camera is a camera and a phone is a phone... but hmm... check out the pictures I took! Wahaha...

We went to Sungai Wang, (a shopping complex in KL) where all the cheap and fake stuff are in abundance and went to this local designer shop. I forgot who the designer was... Start with a 'D'... sorry... can't give him credit for the 'clothes' he design. =( The mannequins that they have... Woooo!!! HOT!!!

Check out the butt!!!

L...O...V...E!!!

Nothing to be left for imaginations!

Too bad they're just mannequins! =(

Super sexy right? Or am I just a pervert? Ah well...

Basically they're just selling this...

Cool phone right? =)

Dress up Games and Cartoon Dolls

Remember when we younger and we used to play with Barbie dolls and all that? Dressing each and every one of them up, playing with their hair, persuading our parents to buy our dolls the latest dress and all? Well... now you not only can dress the dolls, you can make them look like you!

Dress up Games is a website where you can create your own personalized avatar. Meaning you can play dress up games and create the best looking dolls or make it look like you. Or make it look like someone you want to be but can't be in real life. Get what I mean? =)

Doesn't this look like me? Miss Princess!

After creating the avatar that you like, you will just need to copy the HTML code and use it wherever you want be it Myspace or as Instant Messenger Icons. If you are truly creative, you can even use it to participate in forums, chats or contest. Who knows, you may even win something.

It’s really cool! I never felt so young and playful for a very long time! I'm a dollmaker now!

Rules for Choosing a Life Partner

Relationship can be so hard nowadays. How do u know that he/she is your soul mate? It may be all nice and sweet and a bed of roses now but will things still be the same 10 years down the road? Or even maybe just 1 year down the road?

What consists of a happy and healthy relationship?

I once read this somewhere,

"Love isn't just two people gazing at each other, but two people looking into the future together"

Forget who was the writer but it was something lidat. I really agree with it...

Just wanna share with you guys something I read! =)

Rules for Choosing a Life Partner

QUESTION # 1: Do we share a common life purpose? Why is this so important?

Let me put it this way: If you're married for 20 to 30 years, that's a long time to live with someone. What do you plan to do with each other all that time? Travel, eat,sex and jog together? You need to share something deeper and more meaningful. You need a common life purpose.

Two things can happen in a marriage.
1. You can grow old together, or

2. You can grow apart... 50 % of the people out there are growing apart. To make a marriage work, you need to know what you want out of life - bottom line - and marry someone who wants the same thing. If the person you're in love with doesn't want the same thing as you do; you might as well get out of it now than when its too late.

QUESTION # 2:Do I feel safe expressing my feelings and thoughts with this person?

This question goes to the core of the quality of your relationship. Feeling safe means you can communicate openly with this person. The basis of having good communication is trust. i.e trust that I won't get "punished" or hurt for expressing my honest thoughts and feelings. A colleague of mine defines an abusive person as someone with whom you feel afraid to express your thoughts and feelings. Be honest with yourself on this one. Make sure you feel emotionally safe with the person you plan to marry.

QUESTION # 3:Is he/she a mensch?

A mensch is someone who is a refined and sensitive person. How can you test? Here are some suggestions: Do they work on personal growth on a regular basis? Are they serious about improving themselves? A teacher of mine defines a good person as "someone who is always striving to be good and do the the right." So ask about your significant other: What do they do with their time? Is this person materialistic? Usually a materialistic person is not someone
whose top priority is character refinement. There are essentially two types of people in this world: People who are dedicated to personal growth and people who are dedicated to seeking comfort. Someone whose goal life is to be comfortable will put personal comfort ahead of doing the right thing. You need to know that before Walking down the aisle.

QUESTION # 4: How does he/she treat other people?

The one most important thing that makes any relationship work is the ability to give. By giving, we mean the ability to give another person pleasure. Ask: Is this a person who enjoys giving pleasure to others or are they wrapped up in themselves and
self-absorbed ? To measure this, think about the following:

1. How do they treat people whom they do not have to be nice to, such as waiters, busboy, taxi driver, etc.?

2. How do they treat parents and siblings? Do your parents and siblings like/adore them? Have you received any bad comment/remarks about them?

3. Do they have gratitude and appreciation?

4. Do they show respect? Do they respect your opinions or let you know when you go over the line? Are they truly honest with you, even if you don't like facts that hurt? If they don't have gratitude for the people who have
given them everything, you cannot expect that they'll have gratitude for you-who cant do nearly as much for them !

5. Do they gossip and speak badly about others? Someone who gossips and bad-mouths cannot be someone who loves others. Has the person simply left anyone for you? Has that someone lied to/with/because of you? You can be sure that someone who treats others poorly, will eventually treat you poorly as well.

QUESTION # 5: Is there anything I'm hoping to change about this person after we're married?

Too many people make the mistake of marrying someone with the intention of trying to "improve" them after they're married. As a colleague of mine puts it, "You can probably expect someone to change after marriage and for the worse!" If you cannot fully accept this person the way they are now, then you are not ready to marry them. There is no point in putting restrictions on your life partner. If you love him/her you will accept him/her as they are.In conclusion, selecting your partner doesn't have to be difficult and treacherous. The key is to try leading a little more with your head and less with your heart. It pays to be as objective as possible when you are selecting, to be sure to ask questions that will help you get to the key issues. Falling in love is a great feeling, but when you wake up with a ring on your finger, you don't want to find yourself in trouble because you didn't do your homework.

I'm not sure whether I fufill all this criteria as a girlfriend. But I'll definitely try my best! =)

True love arises from two people's determination to share their lives together, and from the wisdom gained from aspiring from the future.

-Daisaku Ikeda-

Cell phones are so popular nowadays! Everybody seems to have it. Seriously... everybody. My brother was 12 when he first got his handphone. It was a 2nd hand phone pass down by me but still... 2 years later he is having the latest Sony Ericson 810i. And he's only 14!

Me..? I'm still having a very old phone. Phones now aren't just use to call, they are used for taking pictures, listening to music, you name it, and chances are the phone can do it. They are also part of your wardrobe too... a kind of accessory. What kind of phone you use depicts what kind of person you are. Well... wirefly.com has the best cell phones and best cell phones deal you can find... It is the largest selection you'll find anywhere, including carrier sites. And best of all they include free shipping!

Romantic Letters

How to write Love Letters? Do people still write love letters nowadays? With all the high tech gadgets and communication being so easily essesible, do people still write down their inner most feelings with pen and paper?

Nowadays you can find everything you want on the internet! Romance for Everyone is one of the new sites that i found. They even have a website, Romantic Love Letters, that teaches you how to write love letters! They have a library full of love letters for you to read and gain inspirations for.

I went and visit the site and found a few love letters that I think is quite romantic. One of them, titled 'My Heart' was written by a guy to his sweetheart before she went on a business trip.

My Dear Sweet Tammy,

I thought I would let you know that my love for you is burning very brightly this afternoon. My heart longs for you. My heart longs to leap at the sound of your voice. My heart longs to be filled with joy by your smile.

Check it out if you wanna continue reading it further... =)

They have other stuff too... Romance tips, relationship articles, eHarmony dating tips for men, eHarmony dating tips for women... I found a very interesting article, "How to Write a Dear John Letter". You know what's a Dear John letter? A Dear John letter is a goodbye letter written by a woman to a man.

I didn't know that.

They actually give u tips on how to write a compassionate Dear John letter. Interesting right?

I never really receive any love letters before. As I said before, what with all the e-mails, sms... Love letters are almost extinct! And I don't really blame them. Who wants to write love letters anymore? But when I think about all the love letters that my mum actually received from my dad when he was away in London to study, I am actually very envious of her. She still has them and imagine after so many years you can still take them out and carefully read and savor each sentence again.

So maybe we should revive the tradition again and start writing love letters! Valentine's Day is coming right? =)

Blogger is weird!!!

Ah..!!! I really don't like blogger now! They give absolutely no options for bloggers! I recently just switch to the so called new blogger! I seriously don't know what is the big deal with the old blogger and new blogger thing! They keep putting it in your face that the so called new blogger is better and all that but...! Hmph!

First it was the so called beta thing... now it's the new blogger... later?

Super new blogger!

Or some crappy stuff!

You know what makes me the maddest? My other blogger friends that haven’t switch to the new blogger! There's a problem with them now. You know what? Suddenly all my comments are given by anonymous people!

Excuse me? They were just there a few days ago before I change it! Now they're all gone and have all become Jane Doe or something lidat! What is blogger trying to do? Face out everyone that doesn't switch to the new blogger? Pretend they don't exist?

It’s true! I tried to comment on my own blog and they only allowed bloggers with the so called Google account! If not well... you're just invisible!

I'm so sorry to those that haven’t change to new blogger yet... i know you don't like being like some invisible person but..!!! ARGH!!! Stupid blogger!

And what's with the template and stuff? I know the new blogger has this new feature where you can change the colour of your fonts and everything with juz a click of the button. You don't have to know HTML at all.. but why can't I use my old template and have the new feature too? I don't wanna have those boring templates that blogger recommends even though they have nice features! On top of that, how do you put those image buttons with the new template? ArgH!!!

Din know why I change...! >.<>

And the comments! Argh!

What do you guys think? Switch to the new blogger already?

Earning money!!! PayPerPost!

I have always doubt how people can actually earn money through having blogs. I mean having blogs to jot down your life's happenings, your feelings and everything is all fun and all but earning money? Can you actually do that? So easy wan meh?

I notice this PayPerPost thing quite a while ago but didn't really click on it or do anything about it but when i finally did click on it, i discovered a whole new world out there! An entire cosmos for me to discover! Imagine, you can actually earn money just sitting in front of the computer at the comfort of your own house or office by merely just typing away!

How does this work you ask?

Well, first you sign up for PayPerPost. Then you submit your blog and wait for a few days while they evaluate your blog. After your blog is approve you will then choose opportunities to blog. Opportunities are kinda like products that you can choose to review and PayPerPost will then pay you for reviewing it.

How much will it be? Well, a simple opportunity will cost 5 dollars to 8 dollars. Some harder ones may go up to 20 dollars to 50 dollars! I just sign up last thursday and already I'm earning 20 dollars! Including this post of course! =)

I read a Malaysian blogger a few minutes ago and she has earn 1000 dollars in just one month! Talk about money falling from the sky. Amazing right?

I hope to help reduce my parents burden in financing me to university. I know its not a lot of but at least I am earning something. Now I don't have to beg my parents for money to feed on my daily dose of buying tops every month! That counts for something right? Hehe..

I love you. The story of us.

*Warning* Long and boring post ahead. Read at your own risk*

I was the goody two shoes girl and you were the boy that all teachers remember. Not because you were a brilliant role model student but because you were the naughtiest in class. Teacher had to constantly call out your name and give multiple warnings for you to behave.

I was the girl that sat down quietly with my own group of galfriends at the right hand corner of the classroom. Never moving around in class or mixing with other boys. You were the boy that sat right in front of the teacher’s table at the right hand corner of the classroom so that the teacher can closely monitor you. You never ever came over to my side. I didn’t go over to your side.

We were in different worlds.

That was year 1999.

5 years later and being in the same class 4 out of those 5 times, somehow or rather…

We got together. Right after Form 5. Right after our SPM examinations. Right when we had to choose our next education path. Where should I go after high school?

The goody 2 shoes gal with the boy that is famous with the entire board of discipline teachers and his second home BEING the disciplinary room!

I was shocked myself too… Is this possible? Will this work? What am I thinking?

Everyone started to ask me, “Shin, are you sure you wanna be with him?”

I wasn’t sure myself too but somehow…

Then, we went into Form 6 together and those 2 years were the best. Some people dislike being in the same school let alone in the same class together. But being in the same class meant that I could steal a glance at him whenever I feel like it.

Though most of the time he would be dozing off. =.=

And hanging out together whenever we can when the teacher was absent.

Complaining about our teachers together. Discussing about the happenings in school and gossiping about our friends together.

And having our recess together. Taking turns to eat with our respective group of friends. But which ever group that we choose, either of us would be the only gal or guy on that table. =)

Stressing for our STPM together. Trying mighty hard and making numerous efforts to go to the state library and study. But failing most of the time. He always fell asleep halfway. Him helping me with Physics and Mathematics though I always couldn’t understand what he was trying to tell me. I love it all the same.

Wishing each other good luck before every examinations and asking each other what answers we put on those tricky questions. Going to tuitions together. Him being the driver. =) Letting our teachers tease both of us knowing fully well that we are together.

Bracing ourselves for our STPM results and finally taking it together. Us being totally terrified that we would fail everything. Luckily both our results were okay. Proving to our family that we can juggle studies and relationship together.

Spending the next 6 months working part time jobs. Tackling jobs challenges together. Being totally uncertain with our future. Should we apply for the same university? What if we don’t get into the same university?

Finally, fate bringing him to study all the way in Malacca and me in Selangor. Which by the way was 2 hours drive! No problem right I hear you say. We were so used to seeing each other every single day, doing every single thing together. Now…

But we survived. He came back every weekend and we use what remaining days we have to catch up on each others life.

Now, my family would be migrating to Vietnam soon and if all goes well I would be studying in US this August. I may never come back. I never know. What should we do?

Everyone is asking me this question. What about him?

I have no answers to this question. What can I say? I know I will try my utmost best to make this relationship work out. I believe that if we are meant to be we will be together no matter what.

Every adult I meet will advised me to not close my heart at such a young age. There's plenty of fishes out there. I should go out and explore. I will definitely change my mindset when I grow older.

But what if I already find a perfect guy?

I love that he will always leave the last mouth of every dish for me.

I love that he has a totally babyish side of him that makes him funny yet adorable at the same time. Making me laugh every moment.

I love that he took 3 A4 papers to make a card for me coz I complained to him that he didn’t make anything for me. It wasn’t any Hallmark card but its better than anyone put together.

I love that he prepared steamboat for me at his house all by himself juz coz I said I love steamboat.

I love that he bought me a bouquet of roses and sent it over to my house by delivery on Valentine’s Day and then sat a cab to get to the place I was working at tat time to wish me Happy Valentine’s Day.

I love that he recorded songs that he sang together with his guitar and sent it through the internet so I could save it into my mp3 and listen to it while I was on vacation.

I love that he fetched me to school every single day for 2 years even though it was out of his way.

I love that he was the one that suggested that we took sticker photo together even though I wasn’t to keen on it. Now I am the one to persuade him though…

I love that he buys me breakfast every time he comes over to my house.

I love that he called everyone in our class on how to boil porridge and sent it over to my house the first time I was sick.

I love that he prepared Vitamin C for me every morning in a bottle so I can drink in class.

I love that he put little love notes in my pencil case when I wasn’t looking.

I love that I see resemblance in him and in my father. His character and thoughts.

I love that he is totally comfortable with my family. Even my dad jokes with him now...

I love that everytime I feel our relationship will not last, he will do or say something to ensure me that we can get through this.

I love that he shares with me whenever he feels that there's some girl in his university that he thinks have the hots for him. No problem man! =| I can take it!

I love that he tells me stories of his friends in the university even though I have never met them.

I love that he is my best friend and I can confide everything in him.

I love that I know he will always be there for me.

I love that he is my highschool sweetheart.

Happy Anniversary Cody.

Love,
Shin.

What's my image?

Do you have a habit of checking out a person and making personal judgments regarding the person's looks or way of dressing? Like for instance you're meeting a new friend for the first time, and gazing at the way he's hair is all spike up, he's skin is dark, wears a skull necklace, has a big dragon tattoo on his forearm, and he speaks in a rough manner, you make the assumption immediately that he is a smoker, drinker, and treats woman in a non respective manner.

Or when you walk around in a shopping mall and you spot a girl for the first time, she wears a micromini skirt with a super tight tube, and has purple hair you assumed that she has a GPA of 1.0 and is a college dropout!

We tend to make these kind of assumptions or judgments. I do too... Always. We tend to categorize people into different groups on the first impression that we make.

This person has a hippy look therefore he is not capable of being responsible.

This gal has an emo look which makes her not friendly.

Or whatever kind of assumptions that we make in our daily life.

Know where I suddenly got this feeling?

There's this website, Picture Guessing Game that I found and played for quite a while. What makes is so interesting is that it has photos of random people from all over the world, and below the picture there will be a particular question regarding that person and you will have to guess the correct answer.

Like for example they give you a picture of a fairly pretty lady that smiles very sweetly and they ask you,

'Does this person own a gun?'

So you choose between yes and no. Once you have chosen your answer, you will immediately be brought to another page where on your right they will give you the answer and another picture will be posted. And you continue from there.

It is really an interesting site as it makes you think are you good in judging people! Or do you just make surface judgments according to what you see! Food for thought!

Just because you're dress in a particular way or act in a particular manner doesn't mean that you belong in a certain category of people.

Nerds can love rock music too!

I hate judgmental people too. And I try very hard to not be judgmental myself. Very very hard! =)

Check it out if you're free! Enjoy!

New layout

Finally... after days of scouting through countless background sites, waiting and waiting for the pages to load, I finally settle down on this layout. Phew! What a tiring experience!

Maybe some of you in the process of me changing my layouts came to my blog and saw weird things. Well... you din see anything. Okay?!

Ok... maybe it’s not that wonderful or eye-catching but I really crack my head to find the perfect colour for my blog.

Let's see...

Black... I like black. I have a darker side of me that a few people am aware of. But I'm quite bored with black.

What about pink? I love pink. But will this be too pinkish?

Argh... It was terrible. I was gonna give up and just delete my whole blog.

Call me perfectionist or something but this is me!

SO New Year, new layout.

Wat dya think? =)

Boise, Idaho

Everybody seems to be moving these days. I myself am going to Vietnam in a few months time coz my father is being relocated there and juz a few days ago i received news that one of my childhood friend is also relocating!

Guess where he's going?

Boise, Idaho!

Where is that? I don't even know where that place is!

But obviously seeing that I’m a caring and clever friend, I went and googled it up. Idaho is a state in US and Boise is its capital! Interesting. I ask him the reason why his family would suddenly drop everything in Malaysia and migrate to Boise, and the answer he gave me was that place is better! Yeah... talk about the grass is greener on the other side! But later he told me his father was relocated there! Just like my dad! Hehe..

But seriously it seems that the quality of life over there is quite high that's why more and more people are migrating over there. It seems that Fortune Magazine rated Boise as the No.1 city on its 2005 list of Best Places for Business And Careers. I guess my friend is gonna have no problem in finding jobs in future.

There's a lot of things to take care off when you're migrating to a new place. And finding a house is one of the major issues. I found a site regarding houses in Boise. 'Boise homes for sale'. You can find everything there regarding properties in Boise. They have pretty nice homes!
Wish his family all the best in fitting over there!

I always dreamt of migrating to other places. Not because I don't like Malaysia but I love the feeling of experiencing new things, living in a new environment and everything that comes along with living in a new place. I wish my friend good luck in his future. Hope he doesn't forget me along the way. Old friend! =)

To the future..

Anyone knows how the future will be like? Will there be cars flying around like we always watch in movies... or will they be robots serving us from head to toe?

Let’s not talk about 10 or 20 years in the future. What about the not so distance future? I'm talking about us. Will we be the person that we hope we would be? Will our dreams and desires be achieved then? The dreams that we dream today, will it be materialized in the not so distant future? When we see our future selves, will be like what we see? Or will we turn into somebody that we hate now?

Do you ever think about these questions?

I went to an exchange training meet recently with a group of students organized by Soka Gakkai Malaysia. The objective of this training was to encourage the youth today of the importance of higher learning education. And at the end of the 2 day training, the leaders gave us a piece of white A4 paper and ask us to write our resolutions in 5 years time. What we want to achieve in this 5 years. Then, 5 years later, each and every piece of paper will be mailed back to us. It was to remind us, did we achieve everything that we set ourselves? Or did we forget the promises that we made to ourselves.

I really felt the profound meaning of this. Here we are actually writing to the future us. What if at that moment the future you is having some sort of big problem and is contemplating to give up life? What can you write at this moment to encourage the future you to never give up hope? To remind the future you how vibrant, how full of hope you are right now and never forget that feeling?

Am I confusing you? I think I am...

Hehe...

My point is, can you ensure that you turned out the person that you always wish you would be? Moral and integrity wise. Or will you be somebody you hate?

Can you remind the future you how courageous and compassionate you were?

To remind the future you to continue to chase whatever dreams that you made then? To never give up?

I stumbled upon a site, FutureMe.org, you write an e-mail to the future you and they will sent it to you at any date in the future. Minimum one year from now.

Now... What will you write?

I really think this site is very interesting. I just hope that when the time comes for my e-mail to be sent back to me, the site is still working! =)

Chicken Pox!!!

Hey people!!! Hey bloggerfriends..!!! How has the New Year been treating you? I hope everyone has a wonderful start in this beautiful new beginning! I know I certainly have... It will be a year that will forever be edge in my mind! Yup! Guess what?

I got Chicken POX!!!

It’s terrible!!! Seriously! My whole life I have been worrying about not getting chicken pox and finally getting it while I am having some big examination or big event, and though it finally chooses to come out at a perfect time, I couldn't have chosen any other time but

ITS STILL TERRIBLE!!!

Wanna know how it started? Well... I was on my way back from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah to KL on MAS Airlines, when my mum suddenly commented,

"Look at that baby in front of us. Dunno what he has. So poor thing!"

On closer look, I then noticed that the baby had chicken pox! Yup!!!

Aren’t people with chicken pox supposed to be quarantine or something? To stay at home???? I don't blame the little baby, I definitely know how he feels but the parents!!! DOn't they know better???? How can they be so selfish???

ARHG!!!!

People nowadays...

Yeah... so thanks to the very 'educated' parents, i'm currently sitting in front of the computer at 7AM typing my blog because I can't sleep anymore as my back hurts too much to even lie down.

Anyone knows how to treat chicken pox or even make me feel a tinny bit better?

I look like a monster now! Seriously! Its so scary looking at myself in the mirror. Reminds me of Elephant Man. In this case, I'm Elephant Lady.

And people keep warning me not to scratch! But I accidentally scratch of 2 on my face and they're now super horrendous! It’s yellow and... ARGH!!! My face is the worst of all...

*cries*

Someone...

Please help me!!!

One thing though, I really really hope my parents don't get. My mum can't seem to remember whether she got it before anot. Asked her to take a vaccine but she says no point.

Sigh...

Help me now..!!! My body is on fire!!! >.<
