Remember a few days ago I showed you the video on the Canon S5 IS camera? Well.. Wahaha.. I bought it already! I know.. I know.. it's a bit too soon and bla bla bla.. But I bought it already so there! ^.^







It was quite a harsh decision though. I saw it on Saturday in Midvalley, went home and went to a few websites to look for its reviews, and the next day.. Asked my dad to buy for me.

My dad is seriously the best I tell you. I never really ask him to buy anything for me before. I mean big stuff.. (Clothes doesn't count) but lately, just because I'm gonna go US, he's suddenly being all nice and offering me to buy me this and that!

He even wanted to buy me a RM2900 (USD828) PDA Dopod Phone!!! I still havent decided yet though.. Him treating me so good is kinda making me feel all weird and 'mo yi si'! Hard to explain la. Makes it all the more harder for me to go overseas. How am I gonna survive without my family?

Sigh..

Anyway.. back to my camera. I don't really know how much it cost coz I wasn't around when my parents bought it for me. But the price that I saw was RM1599 (USD456). Kinda expensive I know. It was between the Canon S850 and this.

The Canon S850 is obviously smaller and slicker. More sexy! But since I am slowly getting interested in photography, I was thinking might as well get a camera that has more functions to play around with. Not really an SLR camera but looks like it. Hehe..

But the size is undeniably big and chunky. I can't imagine being in a cool club having fun with the girls and when everybody wants to take a picture, I take out my chunky huge camera ! Hahah..

Not that I go clubbing often! What were you thinking?

I guess I'll just have to have thicker skin la!

I'm kinda lazy to list down all the functions of the camera. Click here if you want the full list of it's function. But mainly it has 8.0 megapixels of resolution, DIGIC III Image Processor (don't really know what it is), 12x optical zoom lens with an optical Image Stabilizer (IS) system (good for shaking hands like mine!) and 2.5-inch vari-angle LCD monitor with wide viewing angle. It uses four AA batteries.

Now this is the part that I don't really like. It using AA batteries. It's harder to charge right? Not as convenient. But looking at the bright side, I can get batteries anywhere I want now.

Pros and cons as usual.

Of course.. after opening up everything. The first thing I did was to try the camera out! And guess who was my first model?

My sweet lovely old faithful!

I don't think you can find this in the market anymore. The memory card is actually obsolete now! Everything of it is manual. And it has been with me for goodness knows how long! 5 years? I always wanted a new camera. And now I finally do!

Sigh.. I'm so lucky.

What Kitchen Cabinets Do You use?

Now that I'm gonna study in US and leave my beloved house, I'm really starting to miss and appreciate my house. When I first moved to my home, the part where I was truly amazed with was my kitchen cabinets. Before this, my old house had very old and dirty kitchen cabinets. The color was old and boring and we didn't have much storage space.

But my new place was a different thing altogether. I think my parents spend quite an amount on it and it definitely showed! The colour was a nice brownish and everything fit nicely with the kitchen! And we had plenty of storage place.

So are you looking for a kitchen cabinet? Do you use metal cabinets or diamond plate cabinets? These diamond cabinets are made of aluminium that will not rust or corrode! They also carry aluminum cabinets that can be powder coated with your favorite color! The look of your kitchen will definitely determined the amount of time you spent there! So choose wisely! You wanna have home cooked food right? =)

Yup! I dunno whether to rejoice or feel terrible because I only have 17 more days to live in my this beautiful country Malaysia! No.. I'm not dying.. I'm just gonna further my studies soon.

Well.. Em.. You havent been reading my blog havent you? Well.. naughty you then! >.<

Hahah.. joking! I'm going to US soon. Yup! In another 17 more days! It hasn't really dawn on to me yet that I'm finally gonna leave my country of 20 years!

I have been waiting for this day to come for so long that now that it's finally here, I'm not really believing it. I mean, it's not that I don't believe that I can finally go overseas to study, it's just that I can't really believe that I'm gonna leave my home soon! I kinda feel that I don't wanna leave now. I realized a long time ago that whenever I ask my friends that are about to leave on what their feelings are at the moment before they leave, their answer is always,

"Em.. nothing la. Lidat lo.."

"Don't you feel excited at all?" will be my answer.

"Not really. Kinda feel sad actually." will they say softly.

Now I understand how they feel. Part of me, say like 20% is kinda excited that I'm gonna start a whole new chapter of my life experiencing new cultures and stuff, and part of me, the remaining 80%, kinda dreads the 'big' day.

What if I get so lonely there? What if I cannot adapt to the environment over there? What if I miss my family and cry for my mummy everyday? What if.. What if.. What if? A

rgh.. Life is just full of challenges right? Even when things go your way, you still need to face multiple challenges in life.

Now, the biggest problem for me is packing. I have another 17 days more to go and I haven't started packing yet! Not a single thing. Why? Well.. I don't know what to pack!!! I know nuts about packing!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!

My family went and bought a luggage bag for me! Cost around RM700 ya know. Super expensive! You think enough for me anot leh?



I know I'll definitely need to bring clothes. But how much is much? What about shoes? Books? Stationary? Bed sheets? Pillows?

Can I fit everything inside?

I heard that US doesn't have Darlie the toothpaste. Should I bring half a dozen of Darlie then? I have a friend that just migrated to Australia and it seems that she has been bringing almost half a dozen of Darlie toothpaste every time she flew back to Malaysia because Australia doesn't have Darlie. She did this even when she was studying 10 years ago!!!




These things just don't cross your mind unless someone tells you! But now that someone did warn you, are you gonna take their advice?

How am I gonna fit in everything in my bag? Or even if I succeed.. How am I gonna fit it in my room???

Do you receive weird e-mails from friends? Those e-mails that contain weird images that sometimes if you're lucky will make you laugh or feel in awe with the ability of people to take those pictures.. or make you think twice whether those pictures are real or not.

A site that we were able to shut last year has returned. We have to try to shut it down again! A Japanese man in New York breeds and sells kittens that are called BONSAI CATS.

That would sound cute, if it weren't kittens that were put in to little bottles after being given a muscle relaxant and then locked up for the rest of their lives!! The cats are fed through a straw and have a small tube for their faeces. The skeleton of the cat will take on the form of the bottle as the kitten grows. The cats never get the opportunity to move.



They are used as original and exclusive souvenirs. These are the latest trends in New York, China, Indonesia and New Zealand .

Well.. I have to admit that I really felt disgusted with the mail and was angry at how people can actually do this kinda things to animals. And I was curious to know more so as usual, I went and google it up!!!

Bonsai Kitten is an internet hoax, which claimed to give instructions on how to grow kittens in bottles as a form of decoration, similar in fashion to a Bonsai tree.

That's what wikipedia said!!!

Haha.. can you imagine it? It seems that a group of very free MIT graduate students that didn't really know what to do with their lives came out with this hoax to play on people's humane feelings! It seems that when people grew to knew about this 'bonsai kitten', animal activists actually went on to complain to animal welfare organizations and set up online petitions to have the website banned!

Some people are so free I tell you!

And to make things even more absurd, this case was actually investigated by the FBI itself! Haha..

Yup!!! Off I go again! All this flying around in aeroplanes is kinda making me feel all tired! I'm not complaining or anything. I know there's a lot of people out there that hasn't been on an aeroplane at all but.. sigh.. just thinking about packing, going to the airport, waiting to board the plane, siting down in the small tineey winney seat, feeling the air pressure blowing your ears out, and waiting for the plane to land..

Well.. kinda turns me off flying!!! >.<

I'm sorry if I sounded like an unappreciative b*tch but.. boohoo..

If you're wondering though.. I'm going there because my cousin is getting married soon! Yup! And it's gonna be a huge elaborate affair. With church wedding and all. Haven't been to a church wedding though. Should be super romantic! Can't wait.

And all my favourite KK food!!! Ooooh.. My last time though. =(

On another note, today is the 5th of July. That just gives me another 24 days in Malaysia. Then I'll be off to the States to start a whole new chapter in my life. I dunno whether I should feel excited or sad!

Excited because.. well.. I'm gonna start a whole new life! A totally different experience. I'll meet new people.. experience different culture.. learn new things.. Didn't I always dream of going overseas? Now my dream is coming true.. Right?

But but but.. what if I cannot take it? What if I get so lonely and lost and hide myself in my room and cry every single day? What if I miss my family and Cody too much until I can't do any other things?

What if I miss Malaysian food so much until my stomach wont accept other food at all? (I personally think this is kinda fake though!)

What if I fail all my subject because I couldn't adapt to the environment there? And be kick out of the university?

There are so many what ifs.. Argh..

And the worst thing is.. I haven't started packing AT ALL!!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO BRING AT ALL!!!
